I apologize if we have a thread like this already.
Also, wasn't sure if I should put this in a spoiler forum.

Well, I'll just name a few.

1. Murphy Pendleton (best SH protagonist so far)

2. Wheelman

3. Bogeyman (one of my favorite monsters)

4. DJ Ricks

Murphy responding realistically. Much like Heather. It kicked ass, and lots of it.

It looks like things are getting too spicy for the pepper.

REVEAL SPOILER
I definitely liked the change in the setting and different places visited. I love visiting the original parts of SH, but it was kind of a breath of fresh air with the different places. Such as the Centennial Building and St. Maria's. St. Maria's was my favorite because I've always loved visiting the hospitals or places like one.

DJ Ricks and Blackwood were another favorite of mine. I liked the aspect of them being "trapped" in SH for so long coming in full circle.

Plus Murphy's responses and reactions to the environment around him.

The Wheelman was pretty creepy as well.

DJ Ricks. The atmosphere, although it ceased to be scary after the first playthrough when you realized you were literally never in danger, was very cool. That's about all I can come up with really.
The only difference between savage and sophisticated is the proper seasoning.

I know you'd expect this from any game with a "Hard" setting to be difficult. But I love how the Devil's Pit has become a two day journey for me playing it on toughest setting, when you know full well this would take you half a day on easier choices.
So that's two. The Devil's Pit and the hard level. Who's counting the points?

Agreed! I kept getting all giddy every time I saw another Easter Egg to one of the games XP
REVEAL SPOILER
I read that there's supposed to be a poster in the Theater that advertises Shattered Memories... However, when I looked there I never found it. :(

Funny thing is, the first time I played I actually thought it was Frank Sunderland and I flipped! XD Until I looked him up and found out it wasn't 3: Different last name.

Having more freedom to explore Silent Hill then in any of the other games.

That train car sequence.

More history to Silent Hill then before.

I'll list my other positives later, but I have a one "negative" thing, which is positive to me nevertheless, haha.

It's the fog. It's not excessively atmoshpheric with a very short visibility and with "moving foggy clouds", as in other SH games (which looks better though, even though it's unrealistic, lol), but it's dull and realistic, and I kinda like it. It's nice, regardless.

Like... at first I was like "That fog isn't full of feeling at all, other SHs have much better foggy atmosphere...", but after all I got it, "Ah, it's more realistic being like that!", and I accepted its way of look. ;D

The lighter and blacklight.
The only difference between savage and sophisticated is the proper seasoning.

some of it did. I liked a few of the radio songs and Intro Perp Walk and the bus song. A lot of it sucked equally bad though IMO.

Nah, can't be worse than some Akira's songs in SM and Homecoming.

It felt like a movie soundtrack. Licht is an amazing composer but Silent Hill is not his alley.
