I think that Sewell is an unique antagonist

Sewell in my opinion is an unique SH antagonist. He isn't part of the cult or does some rituals for his personal reasons, he's not even in the town.

I like it how he's very important character even though he mostly appears in flashbacks etc.
He acts differently from other antagonists in the series.

What do you think about him as an antagonist?

I like him because he's not out for a major goal of destroying the earth or something. He shows how a few selfish actions can completely ruin lives. He's realistic and easy to understand as a normal human being (even if he's kinda a power hungry messed up one). And up until this point there hasn't been to many villains you can completely relate too. I mean I love Walter, because I get his abandonment feeling, but he looses me when it comes to the church rituals. George deals with real problems and real ambitions. That's why I liked him so much :D

He so reminds me of Kevin Bacon in the Invisible Man.

LOL. When referring to the character during my first play through with friends, we referred to him as Kevin Bacon.

It's more logical than Kurt Cobain being a serial killer. Although I'd love it if there were more antagonists like Eddie and Walter who killed a lot of people.

He had some of the best lines I've ever heard in a Silent Hill game. I'll never hear or see the word "cupcake" the same way ever again.

Hrm. How many people did Eddie kill? I thought he killed a dog.
REVEAL SPOILER
Technically, in most story lines George did kill 1 person, and was responsible almost killing of Frank. Who knows what else he did.

REVEAL SPOILER
Ah yes! That's what I meant by "In most storylines George did kill 1 person" Napier. I'm not sure if that storyline applies for the execution ending.

All I'm saying overall is that just because we see Murphy's story doesn't mean he hasn't pulled stuff like this before. I'm guessing its happened a few time. Once a crooked guard...

Eddie may or may not have killed more, as implication. I doubt Silent Hill is going to call him for sin when all he did was kill a dog.

REVEAL SPOILER
I think he was a pretty good and effective antagonist. Better than Walter Sullivan that's for sure. Sure, his motives are simple (well, most villains' motives are simple anyway), but it's nothing that requires an obscene amount of screentime or memos to understand. He's simply a sociopathic sadist with a power trip plain and simple. He's not under ritual gone wrong or attempt to summon god. He's simply out to do whatever he wants and kill people in the process if he has to.

He has a personality that could possibly make your lip curl with how much of a snake he just oozes in each cutscene he's in that you just know from first seeing him that there's something up with him. Easily one of the better villains in the series for a while now.

His voice acting is great too. Feels you're watching and listening to a real human being instead of another canned ass voice acting job. Once again shows you don't need stuttering or cheesy voice acting to deliver memorable performances or have some sort of charm. Just about every line he says is memorable.

The best villains are more-often-than-not very grounded in reality. While Walter is a great villain, the things you can imagine actually existing will always unnerve you the most.

Almost every word that comes out of Sewell's mouth is memorable.

"I know you're a man of your word, Murphy. You be a straight shooter with me, I'll be a straight shooter with you." (cocks revolver)

Love that line XD

Also
REVEAL SPOILER
he's the only antagonist that didn't get his ass handed to him in all endings except in Truth and Justice. Actually, forget that, Walter succeeded in 21 Sacraments ending.

Oh I have played WELL OVER 5 times, im saying Officer Sewell pissed me off after the 5th time xDD, i always want to play Silent Hill with my friends, but they can never come over at the same time, so i play each time with each friend individually and I run through it as if it were a movie xDD i ask my friends "Sidequests or no sidequests?" and they say "Whats that?" and i say "Yes or no?" and what ever their answer is, determines the time spent playing ;)
