What you think of Murphy is he a crazy person?

When you finished the game , what are your thoughts about our hero?

I think he's the most human character so far. He's not crazy, he's a likeable, interesting protagonist. He's actually my favorite SH protagonist.

in this ..im really speechless...i mean in the other side of my feelings about him ....ehhemm~~~
but in his personalty ...yess i think our murph is really pathetic to meT^T! ...
lots of things had to say about him ...we did already analyzed that in other subjects and we did already talked about him ...
but its oky to say little things about him by here
he is beliving in revenges that can solve every thing once! but after he did admit it all to that nun...he did say that it was his fult that he did that wrong way and nothing can bring his son back!..
as i think he had 2 characters inside of him ..."the bad guy" which is bogyman..
"the good guy"which is our ordinary Murphy we all know ...
we had already seen how the way he always act...with all people he is a little or what we can say...sort of aggressive person.
also i want to add something really dangerous about him...he is a risky man after all O_O have you noticed this ...when he cross every tree or bars !?
as he had lots of his own fears inside him...
he might not trusting any body in his life ...except for sewell maybe cus he had done his own favor form him!
he never harm any one in his life unless they deserves it as he said....
in the end i can only say one thing about him....he is really lovely person and really i do feel very very very sorry for every godamn thing happens to him!T^T...as i want to say he didn't deserve it at all ...i mean what happen to him from silent hill misery and stuff ...U_U...
he is a good man ...A GOOD MAN godammit!

I pretty much thought the same as this. Murphy is defiantly one of the best and realistic protagonist.

I am also a big fan of Murphy. Just little things he did in the game like when he would let out blood curdling screams when he was being chased made him seem more realistic. Or when he would think out loud to himself when you were exploring around.

One thing I really wished that they would have incorporated into the game was detailed text. You know, like in all of the other ones where you explore things by pressing the action button and it gave you text of what the person thinks. If they added that, Murphy's character would have seemed more involved with his sourroundings.

Murphy ties with Heather for favorite Silent Hill protagonist after James.

James barely edges them out but I think all three feel "Real."

Admittedly, my fourth favorite is "Sleazy Harry" from Shattered Memories or as I call him, Charlie Sheen.

It's kind of hard to label Murphy as a crazy person because

I'm not sure that he's there because of him or Anne. I feel like he has some regrets about killing the pedophile, but mostly because it didn't fix anything, not cause he cares that he is dead. He seems regretful about his family, but it only pops up in letters and and sidequests mostly. Anne on the other hand, is raging the whole time at Murphy. It's pretty obvious she is torn between her sense of justice and a desire for retribution. She wants Murphy to die, but she doesn't feel she has the right to kill him. All along, she fails to get the job done and ends up running from him in the end. He even choses whether to kill her or not. I feel that maybe Anne is deluded by rage, and therefore temporarily crazy. Murphy is a con for an unusual reason(revenge), and happens to be along for her ride. He has his own baggage, and that's what the town plays against him.

I did like how he was the first who truly reacted to the environment around him (jumping over walls, opening locked gates, knocking down boards, crawling and squeezing through holes, kicking over office chairs) I had sooooo much run running into the different things and knocking them over.
