So I was wondering if any body here could tell me about the characters and story line with out ruining the game for me.

It's about a trucker, Travis, who drives past Silent Hill on his route. Something happens that makes him step out of the truck and in doing so he comes across a house that's on fire. He goes inside and rescues a little girl, Alessa, from the house and wakes up in Alchemilla hospital. He wants to find out what happened to Alessa, but the place is pretty much deserted save for Dr. Kaufmann & nurse Lisa. We encounter them and Alessa's mother, Dahlia throughout the game. As his quest to find out just what happened to Alessa continues we also learn more and more about Travis' connection to Silent Hill, his troublesome youth and dark present day life.

Made me lol. But yeah, it took me a while to finish, then blazed through the second time. It is one of the longer installments for sure.

Hahahaha. I couldn't beat it without cheats because the ai was too rough and too frequent and Travis was horrible at evading them. The gameplay is really shit, but the story and atmosphere itself was really nice to me.

I didn't have any issues beating Origins at all. The only one I've ever had issues with is SH4. I've still yet to beat it. It was the first one I ever played, too. I haven't played it in ages, probably.

Is hella tough, no doubt. The enemy AI is fierce, it takes a lot to take even one. Urse down, and Travis's weapons have almost no durability, with zero consistency in durability. A typewriter is just as useless as a sledgehammer.

However, the game gives you the uncanny ability to become a nightstalker. If you, don't run, and keep your flashlight off, almost none of the enemies can spot you even if you are standing right next to them.

Beat the game once, then get those fabulous moon gauntlets, and the game is forever yours to pwn.

Game is pretty simple to beat with all the weapons and ammo littered throughout the levels. I think the only real nuisance is getting entangled in a QTE with the straight jackets so much.

Somehow found that to be a more annoying occurrence than anything in Homecoming.

Im stuck between two great series

Origins was easy to beat like most of the games were. Some of the enemies were pretty cheap, though. Like the ones who would leap at you from any distance and hit you no matter how hard you tried to dodge. Hated those bastards.
