Ending 2/4 (+1)

I finished up Silent hill 3 by getting all of the achievements yesterday. So I decided to do the same for Silent hill 2 this morning I was working on getting all the endings and I got all the normal ones

in water, leave,maria, and rebirth

and I've also got the

ending this morning... whew talk about some speed running... anyway here is where the problem comes in. On every results screen it says Ending 2/4 (+1) which is confusing because I know I have them all minus the

DOG

ending. anyway I thought it was weird but not really game breaking until I went for the last ending I needed but when I went to pick up the Dog key nothing was there.... I repeat Nothing was there!!!! lol yea I freaked out and cut off the game and everything so I wouldn't do anything stupid. I'm really getting tired of these random but incredibly annoying Glitches/Bugs on the HD Collection. Is there any way to fix this glitch or was all the work this morning for nothing?

Are you playing them from savegames? As in playing the game up to a certain point, and then using that save point to get the other endings? If so, maybe that's the problem?

yea but only one of them the maria ending was from my ufo reloaded but other than no ... besides I used to use that kind of shortcut on the PS2 and the original xbox versions and I never had this problem?

I don't have the HD collection so it's just a suggestion, but maybe it 'registers' differently?

Sorry for the Bump everyone but I really need help with this issue. Since the last comment have tried replaying the game multiple times to get each ending individually but the Dog key is still not appearing nor the Hyper Spray so I pretty much can't go any further with the achievements of this game which really kind of a pity with only four left.
