They should have asked him to oversee this project. As someone who put time, work, and lots of care into the look of these games, I'm sure he could have helped to make this collection really shine.

Heh heh, as I ran down the street I thought to myself, "it's about time they repaved Silent Hills streets." To be honest, The repaved streets didn't bother me. It was an aesthetic choice that may not have been a great one, but there are far greater fires to be put out right now.

Yeah, it didn't bother me either.

And I respect that he has a bit of a problem with the atmosphere being messed with. Because, well that was what he dealt a majority with. But the technical problems should probably be looked into first.

Because the last thing I want to happen is Konami to put all it's efforts in trying to right atmospheric snafus and completely neglect the actual gameplay issues. Because sadly I think more emphasis is put on the atmospheric issues rather then the actual things hindering playing the games.

Well there obviously wasn't much emphasis put on getting the atmosphere right before releasing the games, so rather doubt Konami will do anything notable to fix it with patches.

After thoroughly doing research; reading reviews, rummaging through videos, watching live streams and hearing people's opinions on the game thus far, I'm really contemplating passing on It. Which is a real shame because I've had such high expectations for the game(s). Nearing the end of the video, Masahiro Ito gives some more brief feedback on his thoughts of the overall look of the game. It's safe to say he's in disbelief.

HiJynx Studios made the HD collection. And they only made 1 game before that....
Here it is.
Love me some HC

Acccording to IGN, HiJynx Studios has made quite a few more games than the ones you mention, though I'm not finding anything in their history which could justify entrusting them with these 360 and PS3 ports.

Previously, they developed under PhoenixSoft and they produced mostly mobile games.

That is a red flag to me.

I wouldn't even bother listening to anything IGN says about the games whether it be reviews or news after they gave Downpour a 4.5 and the HD Collection a 9.

I'm no fan of IGN, but they're not the only ones saying Hijinx Studios has made more games than Nygma claimed, they just have most everything I'd found mentioned elsewhere on one page. If you know of anything which contradicts what is stated on that page, please share.

Finally! Someone's waking up! It's biased, speculative, fanboy garbage at best. Constantly assaults It's audience with blatant demographic-based ads, and is owned by (Fox) News Corp.! May I suggest people get there news elsewhere, for example; Blistered Thumbs (in my view) is a fairly accurate source for reviews, ratings and editorials. But don't take my word for It, check It out for yourself.

The unfortunate thing for Hijinx is that this was a great opportunity for them, and now they'll have this blunder to live down (if it doesn't end up ruining them).

I'm getting a strong inclination toward the same thing. :P

And IGN isn't -always- terrible, they do cool stuff from time to time. Just generally reviews is not a good department for them.

Hijinx can't even update their website to reflect their name change (or to even keep it running, for that matter). Whoever thought it was a good idea to trust them with ANYTHING is simply...

Bonkers.

I stopped following IGN ages ago. Pretty much just Giantbomb and other independent sites for me.

I was hoping for redone textures upgrading on the original engines for better lighting get the original cast re do all the dialogue for higher sound quality on hd sound systems, but I was just left with a choppy frame rate rendition of it, and freezes, and has that weird audio looping bug like in the pc version.
I'll beat you like a bad step son in two seconds, if you don't make me a beagle.
