References to locations from older games [Poss. spoilers]

Post by redrum on Fri Mar 23, 2012 8:54 am

I think I saw a reference about a kid being treated for an injury at Brookhaven - Implying that Homecoming was correct, and Alchemilla and Brookhaven have switched purposes.

I noticed in Pearl Creek there were road signs that listed Ashfield and Brahms and the distances they are
REVEAL SPOILER
(also didn't Murphy's car chase apparently end in Ashfield?)

Pleasant River seems to be an actual district of Silent Hill rather than it's own town, therefore the University must be located on the outskirts of Silent Hill.

I noticed that Murphy's prison cell number is the same as Henry's apartment number. I don't know if that counts as a place, however.
I love the Silent Hill Series. The new games did nothing wrong whatsoever, they were developed well, and did things different. I believe that Silent Hill Downpour will make all Silent Hill fans happy. Team Silent doesn't exist, but their series does.

REVEAL SPOILER
I don't recall any road signs for Ashfield and I wouldn't expect to considering it is in the next state over. I do recall the sign for Brahms. Yes, according to the police report Murphy's car chase ended in Ashfield.

The road sign is there, can't recall which street, but it's there

Edit: it's outside the bank

REVEAL SPOILER
Would Henry/Walter's apartment being in this game be a plot hole? SH4 establishes it as being in Ashfield, which according to a road sign in Downpour is 168 miles from Silent Hill. Not to mention that if you look out the apartment window in SH4 the surroundings are completely different than in Downpour. There's a subway entrance nearby in both games, but even that's placed differently.

It's just an easter egg
