Silent Hill - Red Dead Redemption style

When I was playing Red Dead and Undead Nighmare from Rockstar, I kept thinking, 'man, how cool would a Silent Hill game if set in 1898 -1910 timeframe?'

The mini comic series Past Life was set in 1898 and really just solidified my lust for such a concept......Howard could be included of course, since we really do need more on him -

I hope I am not the only one that thinks this would work. Problem is, not sure Konami would be willing to support a game budget that this concept would need to actually work well

I thinks it's a very cool idea. For me Horror set in that timeframe I'd love but as you said I don't think it will happen. But one can always dream.

Pipe dream at best, I know. I guess Undead Nightmare is as close as we'll get and it was fun.

What excites me more is Rockstar doing more in the horror genre. That last horror game they did that I could think of is Manhunt 2. I would love to see a Manhunt 3.

I wouldn't mind seeing that. I've been obsessed with Red Dead Redemption and I'm LOVING IT. So, Silent Hill with the same engine would be awesome, I think.

I love Red Dead, as well. I'd love a late 19th century-early 20th century era for a Silent Hill. It would be a nice change, and would definitely show us more about the history of the town.
