Good review, pretty much what I said in mine in my review thread. I honestly felt like this game didn't really tie in to any other Silent Hill titles at all, and didn't feel like one. Still a great game, though. Also, I wanted to kill whoever chose the credits music at the end. It really killed my mood after beating the game and sent me into a rage.

Then grow some thick skin. You shouldn't be raging at end credits music.

^This. Silent Hill has managed to stand up to executive meddling until now. Why did the teams cave and fill it with irrelevant mp3 files? It's such a let down...The two songs in the closing credits especially. It goes from a late 90's Ozzfest, to a fucking Garth Brooks concert. Shoot me. Better yet, stab me to death in the shower.

It's a good game, don't worry about that. There's technical issues such as framerate drops and a pretty weak combat system even compared to the older games, but it's still good. Good storyline, just doesn't really feel much like a Silent Hill title.

Thanks for checking out the review, I definitely appreciate it! I try hard not to contain spoilers for new games, but when I review classic stuff I generally expect that anyone reading the review has probably had at least *some* experience with the game.

About the end credits, Silent Hill is all about the experience and getting lost in it. Having the ending you just earned ruined by awful music kind of kills the mood. But don't worry, I didn't dock the score for that at all.
