First of all, I'm a new member so Hi to all of you

. What I love the most about SH2 is the OST, ( my fav. are True, Theme of Laura (reprise) and Black Fairy) I'd like to see some points of view like.. which one is/are your favorite? Why ? How does it make you feel or if it brings you back to a past experience? Etc.

'Alone in the Town', I just liked the cool, chill feel it gave off a lot. I also love a lot of the ambient pieces from that game.

I really like the music that's playing when you go to petes bowl o'rama...its just chilled out but interesting...one of the best, but I don't know what it's called...I'm sure someone here could help me out...anyway welcome!

Lol it's actually the one I posted, 'Alone in the Town'.

My favorite is Theme of Laura (trailer version) it's shorther than Theme of Laura, but I love how guitars sound in that version. x)
I agree with Emma, it's really hard to choose, because I consider SH2 OST the best of the series.

I agree with all of you. SH 2 OST is the best and one of the most complex out there (it has nostalgic, sad, relaxing and terrifyin songs x) )

Btw. ( You probably had) Have you guys heard the rare soundtrack that is not in the official SH2 OST ? It plays at the beginning while you're reading Mary's letter.

Silent Hill 2 is my second favourite OST. I consider Origins the peak of Akira's work on Silent Hill music.

I'm pretty sure this is on the complete soundtrack. I think it has "Letter" in the title.

As far as i've seen, it's not in the Official OST ( at least not in the Silent hill soundbox version but oh well, they're missing Esperandote in SH soundbox too, which is sad cause I love that song )

(hello all) I'm a new member here so I thought I better start off with the one I'm good with , music. Anyway I actually can narrow it down to maybe three songs 1. Promise. 2.Theme of Laura 3.Overdose Delusion. The reason why I chose these as my favorites is because I play guitar and I started playing around the same time I fell in love with this game and it's OST. Promise was one of the first songs I learned on the guitar and now over four years later I still play this game regularly. Plus as bonus points I taught my little brother who isn't even a fan of the series how to play the rhythm riff of promise and now we play it at every family get together and everyone loves it.

Too many to mention, but these stand out to me in particular.

My favorite piece of ambience from the game is the music that plays at the hotel right before the final twin Pyramid Head fight. It's a very eerie and dark track that really gets under your skin as you are running through the empty, burnt out shell of the hotel to the final confrontation of the game. I also really liked many of the ambient tracks from the apartments and the creepiest one of the entire series (in my opinion anyway) is the track that plays in the long third floor hallway of the Brookhaven Hospital (it's on the official soundtrack as The Darkness that Lurks in Our Minds).

That one in particular has always gotten under my skin.

Other than that, my favorite actual "songs" from the OST are Overdose Delusion, Heaven's Night, Theme of Laura (Reprise), and Ordinary Vanity. Hell, I like the entire soundtrack to be honest. Maybe the only song that I feel is weak is the metal sounding one with the chugging power chords (not a knock to metal mind you, I just feel that it's a lower caliber compared to the rest of the OST).

There's so many tracks man... but if I had to single one out, it might have to be Forest.

If anything, it's one of the most beautiful soundtrack I've heard in my life. There's just so much to tell about this song like the ambient, the feeling of lost, the cold tensions. This song made me feel calm but uneasy at the same time knowing something is erupting/coming from the ground below.
