The HD Collection looks so dark due to Kotaku's shitty player

Kotaku's player is indeed garbage.

I do notice the parking lot textures are different. HD version doesn't look as worn or dirty.

Indeed, also it seems the perspective of the lake has been changed, and the other side of the lake is no longer a superimposed picture :P

Yes, that's Alessa's annual outing, waterskiing with Dahlia. It's in the novel.

I think the HD version looks really nice. It's a lot smoother and not as harsh on the eyes. I can also see that it really does benefit from 16:9.

I hope the entire game doesn't look as smooth and polished as that parking lot. Silent Hill didn't captivate so many people because of how clean and smooth everything looked. The original games did look nice, but in a different way. The grime and filth was part of their charm. It gave you a sense of how old and rustic the town really was. It'd be unfortunate if the whole game looks like they had a janitor run through it and clean everything up.

LOL that could be a new character. We already have a postman who transcends time, why not have a janitor who does the same?

+1,000

I loved watching that show. I wonder if there's a blu-ray boxset or something.

There probably was, but he moved it off your slightly crooked table with his mind.

Sorry I swear I'll stop now.
