Japanese voices?

Post by KLan on Wed Feb 08, 2012 6:13 pm

This is a simple question...
I was wondering if any of the Silent Hill games have Japanese voice-overs? I had assumed SH was made by a Japanese team, so I was surprised I didn't find a "original Japanese" edition of any of the games. Wouldn't that be kind of awkward for Japanese players that they have to just read subtitles for an indigenous game?

Japanese voices?

Its actually not all that uncommon. Rule of Rose did it and so did the Resident Evil series that Silent Hill was directly competing with.

So no, there is no Japanese voice acting except with the joke stuff in 2 and 3.

Oh and Cynthia's actress is Lina Inverse in the dub of Slayers.

Yeah, the English voices are the original voices. Could be partly because the game is based in America, but I think moreso it's because it was a language that more people know worldwide, and they were catering to a more global audience (not just native English speakers, but also people who knew English in other countries).
