I finish SH3 past week. This summer is real hot around here. The night I go through the last sequence in the church was hot and wet, around 30ºC (86ºF). Mosquitoes and flies surrounded me and the control were malfunction, I think I've sweated over it... Could not bet the last boss that night, got to wait for the morning! The hell beat me that night

On the ending of SH 3 I always hated it. It felt so anticlimactic.

I too always felt of SH3's endings were anticlimactic. The only one I like was the UFO ending.

Yes, it's more a "gonna be alright" style. Comparing with SH2, there is a huge difference. But the Heater's joke got me...

The final sequence got this hell ambience very cool that keep me nervous. All the game got a very "artistic" design.

I quite enjoyed the Revenge ending in SH3, has this really dark, foreboding feel to it. Like is she really possessed, or has all the killing left her with a bloodlust? But as we all know, the only canon ending is the UFO ending, so that's that.

The only ending I could not achieved was

When Heather killed Douglas. It's ironic that the voice actor Richard Groose died (April 12, 2003)

I must confess I was not expecting a good ending. I was not worried at the beginning, but she starts to get some Alessa's resemblance and than I begin to be concerned - this girl is going crazy! I lost myself several times, tuck almost 8 hours to reach last boss with only a small health box and low ammo. But I did it with my last bullets and red status! The good ending was a good surprise.

Of course, soon I'll be entering SH again, in hard / hard mode! Wait for me...

Sometimes, if the endings aren't satisfactory to me, I make my own up.

I envision Douglass walking out of Silent Hill with a clacker for a bunch of explosives, and pushing the button as he's leaving town and the entire town blowing up. Then suddenly Harry Mason shows up and confronts Douglas about blowing up the whole town while Cheryl was still there. Then Douglas and Harry would get in a fist fight and Harry barely wins. Then he stands up with his face bleeding but victorious and a bunch of half naked hot girls fall over him with Van Halen rocking out in the background. And at some point I get to make out with Alessa.

I approve of this.

It seams Resident Evil!

I've played SH1-2-3 and SM. So far, my best endings are in SM. But I'm considering only the ending.

Ugh, both of SH3's endings kind of sucked. Possessed was too dark (though it made sense), and the normal ending was just like, "Okay then, game's over, folks." Which wouldn't have been too bad if not for the weird Heather joking that she's gonna kill Douglas. I mean, really? Kind of an inappropriate joke, girl.

I liked it for it was thought provoking and I like how Heather breaks the 4th wall again..

The ending keep the style of SH3, in opposition of SH2. It's like a teen horror movie. It's hard to make an end this kind of game without disappointing the player because "that's it - game over"!

I didn't have too big of an issue with SH3's endings, I only wish that there were more.

I really liked the 'possessed' ending, because of how subtly it's done. It's so quiet and simple, with fantastic audio design. Just perfect.
