The combat system looks awful, no target lock? Homecoming combat looks much, much better than this(In my opinion the best combat system implemented in SH so far). Even Silent Hill 2 has a more decent combat than this.

No inventory? The lack of a good inventory was one of the causes I have hated SH4, Origins and Resident Evil 5.
^^
I think this game will enter in this list too.

EDIT: The monster's corpse disappears after being killed. It is something very sad for me, I miss Silent Hill 2-3 when the corpses stayed on the floor, you could leave the room and after entering the corpses still was there, it only disappeared when otherworld came, for example, or when new monsters appeared after solving a puzzle. It gave more realism in the game. they could leave the corpse on the floor until, at least, you leave the place

Yeah, but the emphasis is on survival and exploration, the game even encourages you to flee from certain encounters (when it rains). That is an improvement, in my opinion, over Homecoming's combat system, which focused too much on action. This combat system is more similar to the one of the previous games.

No inventory? The lack of a good inventory was one of the causes I have hated SH4, Origins and Resident Evil 5.

You can carry only one weapon plus a gun, when you get the hostler for it I think. Like I wrote above, the emphasis is on survival. From what I saw the rest of the inventory seems standard, except one weapon thing.

Yeah, but remember, the monsters are from character's mind so it makes sense that they disappear when they're defeated if you think about it.

1) There is, in fact, a target lock.

2) You haven't played SH2 in a while.

Looks like they are playing a build older than dirt, with the gamma turned all the way up past max and shouting German the whole time. Did an old build get leaked, Tomm?

And judging by what Tomm said I think I'd be right. Oh hey by the way Tomm give us a sample or two of Dan Licht's work already! Its close enough to release!

People, the build 13694 is from september 2011. Combat system, graphics and lightning should be so improved at this time. :P THIS IS A TEST VERSION. An old one. 8-)
Wait! We have a Homecoming fan over there.
Important issue --> Silent Hill is NOT about combat.

The lack of combat was the cause of the end of Team Silent(they tried to put some combat in SH4, but for me, it was worse than any previous games, and SH4 became a big failure) after that Konami sent SH to western studios.

As I said the combat system in homecoming was the best, but they did it in a wrong way, one thing is having a good combat, other thing is killing 50 monsters with a knife at the same time as Homecoming did.

I liked SH4, even think combat was ok (i don't remember myself complaining about SH4's combat...). Maybe Homecoming's combat system was the best, but for a Tekken or even a GOW, not for a SH. They could have given the "blades of Athena" to Alex Shepherd instead of that all mighty knife. :)
BTW... VATRA is NOT a western studio. And this is all about Downpour. No western studios here. VATRA is doing a great job with SH. You will like it. 8-)

Um, from what I remember every SH game, except SM, had combat.

And pray tell, how do you know that was the cause of Team Silent's dismissal?
