Silent Hill Community • View topic - I want a movie based on SH2! Do you?

I trully don't realise why haven't they made the movie based on SH2... I'm sure many of you agree that SH2 has the best story,at least that's my opinion... I hope they will make it sometime... By the way,can't wait for Revelation movie... :-)

The first Silent Hill movie had a few elements of Silent Hill 2. Pyramid Head's appearance, man trying to find his wife in Silent Hill. Anna had some similarities to Angela, etc. I'm not sure how they can do it without making it too similar... though I could see them changing Pyramid Head's role a bit, OR tying in the story lines of the SH1 and SH2 games somehow.

I kind of wish they did a movie on the 2nd game first to introduce people to SH.

I'm rather glad they didn't. SH2 already gets more than enough attention and the main thing that benefited SH2's story is that was a bit more unique in the realm of the video games. It wouldn't really have this benefit in the world of cinema as the main aspects that make up its story have been around for ages in novels and movies.

To me, 2 is easier for lay people to understand. (Non-gamers) and it felt more like a movie to me.

Honestly, I think SH2 has the most movie-like plot of the series. That and 4. They would both make great movies. Still, SH2 is so well-known that making a movie of it would pretty much only be a fanservice. Honestly, I liked the plot of 1 and 3 the best, with 4 having the best character plot in the series (Walter Sullivan). Oh yeah, and a movie of Shattered Memories would be nice also...sorry...keep forgetting it's even part of the series.

I would die to see a movie based on 4. It trumps Nightmare on Elm street. I agree 1 and 3 are more interesting. I'm excited for the new movies already.

True. But yeah if I had to pick one to transform into a movie it would have to be SH4 along with some expected brush ups like Henry not being a mute for most of the game.

They should add some "What the hell...?" Though! XD

Yeah, probably. I thought he was talking about SH 4 because the conversation went in that direction.

I started once playing SH4 and stopped because I couldn't kill these grandma and grandpa zombies... I see you guys saying so good words for that game that I you made me wanna play the game and I will,I decided! :-)
