I'm not really excited for it, but I'm really curious to see how it's pulled off. The story is interesting.

Same thing could be said about SH1-3 (especially SH3).

Pretty much this.

Couldn't care less about this release. I don't want a Vita, it's not appealing to me personally and Skyrim + American McGee's Alice + the SH HD Collection will be keeping me very busy during game time. I'm not fond of handhelds in any case.

I still like the "book of memories" concept itself and I wish it could be presented in a different style/format. It's a great, fresh new idea for this series and it would be interesting to play out in a "regular" game.

This, basically. While an interesting idea, I won't have a Vita anytime soon.

I saw this interview with the producer Tomm Hullet and get excited! Not because the legs of the blonde with Britney's voice, but the features of creating my character, my story and the multiplayer possibility are non explored field that I'm curious about. Is still Silent Hill, maybe more than "The Room". We'll see next month...

Funny, I just finished one of her YouTube videos.

I'm still rather intrigued from the features but I guess we will all wait and see,

I really don't know enough about it at this stage myself to make a decision. Still looking pretty interesting, though.

I'm intrigued with the reporter.

I won't be getting a Vita but I'm curious to see how it turns out.

Cover art. /I haven't seen this until today, apologies if it's old news.

I dunno how I feel about it. Sorta blah. Kind of how I feel about the game currently, but we'll see.

Boxart could be better. Seems that a lot of vidyagaem boxart has been lame this generation, just like the games themselves.

I can't wait until they come out with an L.A. Noire spin-off that focuses only on driving...
or a Dead Space game that focuses completely on puzzles and features no violence...
or maybe a Mass Effect game that only focuses on scanning planets for minerals.

Seriously, part of me is waiting for the announcement that this whole game is a prank. Unless reviews are glowing, (unlikely), this will be the first Silent Hill game I refuse to buy.

Well, I like "The Simpsons" a lot, and I don't see a problem playing Clue The Simpsons. I see SH and Book of Memories by the same way. I'm not excited (I'm with the 59% intrigued) because it's a RPG - a very different game style, requires a specific know how that I don't think they have. As I cannot see the future, I'll have to wait, but I would be more confident if Blizzard develop this game.

I can kind of see it that way... Like just a little commercial item on the side, like the arcade shooter. Some brainless fun to revel in the settings and creatures that we love, not an actual full game experience. ...But I don't want to have to buy a Vita just for that. If this was coming out for PSP, I'd grab a cheap used copy and call it a day.

I imagine it'll be as fun as the arcade shooter

...yeah I wasn't a big fan of that either.

Honestly? I don't really care much for it. From what I've seen, it looks like a fun game, but it doesn't look like a full-fledged, full price title. In fact, I think it would be better off on PSN for around $20-30. It just doesn't seem like a concept that would fit well with a full game. To me, it seems like a game you would play with your buddies for a few minutes before popping in another game. I actually think it would benefit from being a download-only title, as more people would be inclined to pick it up. I'll pick it up once I get a Vita, which I'm not in too big of a rush to get at the moment. I surely won't buy the system for this game alone...I love Silent Hill but this game...it just seems like an obvious cash-in. Maybe a fun cash-in, but still made just for the sake of milking money from the franchise.

I don't know if the game will be so limited just because it's a RPG and look's like an old game - the opposite can happens too: a new huge group of fans!

But you have some interesting points. It could be a downloadable game or be a part of another pack - even a extra of HD collection. In this case, we are assuming it's a simple game because it looks like. Otherwise, even being a simple game does not mean a bad game, I still like playing chess! But, yes, the success will depend on the package and the price.

From the gameplay I've seen, it looks similar to other co-op games out there. It isn't really that it looks bad as a game (in fact, it looks quite fun), but that style of gameplay is best suited to smaller releases, so you can persuade friends to pick it up and play with you. Playing these kinds of games alone is generally pretty boring, because they're all about the co-op fun, and I'm all for that, but as a big release title, it doesn't seem to hold much weight. At least in my opinion. I'm not saying it's going to be terrible, bad, or anything close to boring, but as it stands (from my point of view) it looks like a game that is going to appeal to casual gamers that want something to play with their friends. Nothing more, nothing less.

I think that this the best idea to come along in a long time. I love handheld RPGs and I have wanted this since Gameboy Advance. Yes, I am excited. I am just sad that I can't aford a Vita. Where is the DS game they promised?

I am sooooo excited. For once I am guaranteed to not be let down by a new title. Cause theres no way im buying a vita. I don't like handhelds. I have a house. It's kinda pointless, when I leave I have something else to be doing. I'm not gonna need a game. For some, handhelds are useful. I don't have to worry if its good or not. If it sucks like I think it will, sorry to the handheld owners. Cause if I had one, I'd buy it too.
