Walter was a special one..he was sick, disturbed and manipulated by the cult at an early age. All he wanted was his mother which in this case was the "room" or in other words, Henry's apt....i loved the wierd and bizarre concept, and everything came together beautifully in that game...Walter was just a piece in a brilliantly created puzzle....
Knowledge, Wisdom and Understanding....these are the basic fundamentals of life.... If you can't amaze them with brilliance, baffle them with bulls**t... |

One thing I like about 4 is that it's not really about the "Cult" per se, but rather the results of their influence on one person and how he reacts to it. It's like a more creative cult story that works better than 3's IMO.

If I had to pick my favorite cult-centric Silent Hill game, it'd have to be 4. (Homecoming was too psychological to include in this category) The third game was too busy trying to be all "OMG ALESSA IS HEATHER OMG LOL WOW HOW CRYPTIC CAN THESE PEOPLE GET" while 4 slowly brought you into Walter's fucked up world, his fucked up past, and then eventually his fucked up intentions were explained. Excellent. Therefore, Walter is certainly the man.

I know he has had a bad past that twisted him but he was a great "bad guy" and really made the game fun when he would appear in random locations and try to kill you
