Howard before Downpour

So let me get this straight, Howard delivers things to people that lead them into Silent Hill (Book of Memories)

So...what if he was the one who gave James the 'letter' just before Silent Hill 2 began? This will probably never be clarified, but it's interesting none the less

Well from my understanding, the letter is all in James head. Once you kill Eddie, if you examine the letter all the writing is gone leaving a blank piece of paper. Later on in the game, when walking down the long all way on to fight the final boss the paper is totally gone which alludes to the idea that the letter at the begging of the game was all in his head. The only letter that I think do exist is the letter to Laura and the letter that James get at the end.

Thats the thing though, Howard is obviously not natural anymore, Howard hands James the letter and James' Silent Hill experience kicks off

Even if the letter is gone, could be possible in Silent Hill. Howard delivered the letter printed with magic ink and then you realize that it was magic paper too! Sorry for that...

That's actually a pretty cool idea. I wonder if SH2 inspired them to make him a postman?
