Also, lulz to the person who reviewed the podcast on iTunes, calling me an 8 year old kid who doesn't even say interesting stuff about Silent Hill. I'm not a guy, I never claimed to keep up with SH news, and I was 18 when the first game came out, so I'm not "South Park kid age."

It is refreshing to hear a podcast where someone doesn't speak at a thousand words-per-second. Informative last episode, looking forward to the next one.

#23 is up, a bit rambling but I've had it on my computer for a week, mostly, and decided to just post it. I will get around to doing them regularly again now that I have more time.

^ What he said.

I've been waiting patiently by for your next show, am glad to hear you're back to do them for us again.

I'd enter your contest, but.......I've already got a Pyramid Head painting of my own. Awe heck I may just do it anyways for fun, though I do like collecting me some SH fan art. Yours would be the first one, actually. It would be awesome to have.

Uh, well it certainly is.................bigger.

There are still some things about it, just a few, that I feel could have been improved upon. Should I attempt to paint another one in the future, I will probably do just that. I'd also like to do a smaller-scale painting in acrylic, it's quicker and easier, to be able to hang on my wall. I simply have no space to put the full-size one.

I think I will enter your contest after all, if only to tell you my story of how I became a fan. It is somewhat unconventional, as I did not like the game(at first).

Well, I'd love to hear your story in any case. =0) I've enjoyed reading all the entries so far, as well.

Yeah, I didn't have the canvas/stretchers to do a life sized one, but I did have an appropriate-sized piece of wood I could've used. Then I decided not to, because wood can warp when it's that big, and I have nowhere at all to put something that big.

Now, if I ever get fabulously rich and buy a huge house, I will decorate it like Silent hill. Until then, I don't have that much space. I am meaning to do that one, "Death by skewering" and the sh1 painting of a door, someday. I originally got more small canvases because I was going to do those 2 paintings at the end of sh1, but I never got around to that, either. ^_^ I figured it would be a good exercise because I haven't painted in years, and it forces me to use the right colors to match the originals. And it gets me started on the way to pretending that I live in Silent Hill. ^_^

Just sent my entry in. Almost forgot, today's the last day.

nur_ein_tier wrote:Now, if I ever get fabulously rich and buy a huge house, I will decorate it like Silent hill.

I would like to do very much the same.

A clean and organized home, decorated like a museum full of Silent Hill decor. And I'd keep at least one room secured and isolated from the others, the interior intentionally rusted and dirtied up to emulate the decaying look of the dark Otherworld.

nur_ein_tier wrote:I am meaning to do that one, "Death by skewering" and the sh1 painting of a door, someday. Good plan.

I took very, precise measurements to determine how large each of those paintings would be in order to create full-size, 1:1 scale real-life replicas. I would take a ruler up against the screen to measure each painting in relation to how tall Harry, James and Heather were and estimated the dimensional proportions, I assume they are fairly accurate. I"m sure I still have my notes on those somewhere...

If you ever decide to attempt large full-size paintings and want those dimensional specifications, or just to retain proportional accuracy for your small-scale replicas, just hit me up.

Great last show, and thanks for the shout-out!

Hey if you're ever feeling lonely on the podcast, let me know. I'd love to join ya and chat some SH up wit' ya.

Well, if you aren't busy sometime in the next few days, i was going to record another so I could announce contest winners in it. I installed powergamo to record and I think it's been working okay with skype. (I can be found on skype via my email, amybalot1@gmail.com)

As for paintings, I am working on the hole in the floor one, the first one you see in the Historical Society, right now. I'm sure it's not perfectly sized but it's reasonably close, i guess. ^_^ I cut out a piece of wood without measuring it to paint it on,

Cool.

Yeah, there's very little else that matters more to me than Silent Hill, and I don't really have much of a life as it is so.......I doubt I'll be busy. I'll look ya up on Skype in the meantime...

If that 'powergamo' program works well, may have to check it out. I host a podcast of my own, and the recorder I"m using now is pretty crappy.

I forget how many OTHER paintings there are in these games, besides the real famous obvious ones. Like that 'cafeteria' painting in the prison. Somehow, I'm gonna make it my goal to recreate ALL of those paintings from the games(1 - 4 only). A lofty one, to be sure.
