Three times over, and I kind of want to do it again.

It has been thrice-beaten at my hands, enough for all three endings and all the achievements that aren't a huge pain in the ass.

That is probably enough for me, I doubt I'll play it again.
The above post is intended to be factual, unless it isn't.

Posting because I was told to. ^_^

I liked Origins quite a bit. It was an "easier" SH to play because nothing new was really introduced. It was just good old fashioned re-hashing with a new tortured soul thrown in. I think most prequels deserve a bit of a free pass on certain points, because there's very few way to execute them correctly without things feeling tacked on.

And no matter how much it hurts my eyes, every now and then I always wear the night vision for an entire game. Also: Moon Gauntlets. Nuff said.

It looks like things are getting too spicy for the pepper.

Some ppl complain bout the game being short and with a crappy combat system. In my humble opinion it wasnt THAT short, interesting story, had tons fun throwing tv´s and some other random crap at nurses. The only thing that I found cheap were the bosses. After you fight most of them, they become "normal" enemies, roaming around the streets.
Ive played it like....4-5 times? I love unlockables specially clothing.I LOVE CLOTHES!!!!(whatya expect, im a woman)
Never got luck with the firefighter costume though....

Played it and subsequently beat it when it first came out, as did one of my friends. Was a really fun game, and easily one of the PSP's best titles (though that's not saying much). It's been years since I touched it, and I was gonna download it on PSP again but my PSP's screen recently got cracked somehow, so that's out. I'll probably pick up the PS2 version somewhere down the road, when I get a new PS2 lol.

Game definitely has the best replay value out of any title in the series. It was fun going around the streets with the gauntlets.

Count me as one of the lucky ones, my favorite Silent Hill game next to Silent Hill 2, just a great game with great atmosphere and the main reason my PSP is still in usage nowadays. :D

Easily my 2nd fave game in the series after SH1. Origins just oozes atmosphere, and Climax showed that they are more than capable of creating a quality Silent Hill title. I'll leave the final word on this to an outspoken critic...

So Origins isn't a SH game because you can't choose the difficulty? LOLWAT? SH was never even about the difficulty. The only game in the entire series that even came CLOSE to being even remotely difficult was SH3 on Extreme X.

But yeah, never thought I'd say this, but Hitler ftw when it comes to his opinion on that, lmao.

Beat Origins so many times I lost count. Kept beating it just to get every achievement and unlockable. It's not my favourite game, but it isn't my least favourite either.

I've only read the first post of this thread and it didn't have spoilers.
I was very kindly given a copy by Twoback. And... the "X" button on my PS2 controller has started going funny on me at the jigsaw puzzle at the Motel!

AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!

Cool game otherwise and I wish I'd gotten it sooner. (Although I wouldn't have got it for free...)

It's cool now though! Completed as said on the thread! I'll be playing it again at some point. Just not sure how you could possibly get a different ending? Oh well, one for me to find out...

Throw ALL the TV's!

This game is alot more/less realistic than other games, since Travis can pick up random items and use them, rather than just singling out that one pipe that he will use for eternity, instead, he can pick up many pipes! But, he also carries all of that stuff... somewhere?
I love the Silent Hill Series. The new games did nothing wrong whatsoever, they were developed well, and did things different. I believe that Silent Hill Downpour will make all Silent Hill fans happy. Team Silent doesn't exist, but their series does.

Finished my second run through by accident.
REVEAL SPOILER
Room 502 key. I'd go back to the save I had before I used the key, but I've made a new game with me in the collector's outfit. Not looked, but does that costume have infinite health drinks or something? I can't find any anywhere and have not checked his health. (I tried to get him to burn to death but couldn't!) And I'm using the gauntlets again as I feel I didn't get a fair run through of the game on my second playthrough.
Although I did love the cartoon ending!
And I love this game! From the 7 I've played, I'll have no problem putting Origins in the top three. But then that would mean I would have to go away and come up with an actual list I worked out if I'm going to post statements like that on a public forum...
