Silent Hill Community • View topic - Silent Hill HD Collection PAL Artwork Revealed!

Amazon put up a cover art for the PAL Silent Hill HD collection. Looks pretty much like the US cover just with a weird "Classics HD" logo that seems to be on all the HD re releases (Metal Gear, Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collections). Though the thumbnail for the XBOX 360 version looks more like the US cover just with the PAL boxart instead of the US ones, but when I click on the page it says the cover art isn't available still...so who knows that one could be without the "Classics" logo.

The 'Classics HD' is indeed only on the PS3 version. If you look at the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, the PS3 version has that logo, but not the 360 version. Interesting.

Glad to see they're sharing similar covers, though.

I have also noticed that the PAL version of the Xbox 360 version actually shows more of Maria than the NTSC 360 version. Look at her necklace!! And I must say a big LOL at Zavvi's updated product page.. check out the last image at the bottom LOL.

Gotta say I like the NTSC-U/C version better since it doesn't have that horrible "CLASSICS HD" crap all over it.

You can see where the original image ends on the PS3 one. I must say, it's a bad photoshop; a part of her chin got cut off...

Never heard of "Silent Hill 2: Inner Fears". Has "inner fears" been used before in the title for that game?

In Europe, yeah, Restless Dreams is Inner Fears.

I never saw "Inner Fears" though that's probably because I got the Directors Cut version.

Yeah, if I remember correctly: The XBOX version was called Silent Hill 2: Inner Fears and then they released that on PS2 under the name Silent Hill 2: Director's Cut.

Both version of cover is great.

It'd be cool if Konami were to start using that "Silent Hill" font instead of the one they've been using from Origins onwards. Looks much better.

I'm a little unsure as to what you mean by 'Silent Hill' font. All of the titles thus far have been in different fonts. I think. :V

While they aren't 100% identical they're still derivative and the other font on the HD Collection cover looks more appealing.

I kinda like the cover, even if it looks like Heather is cosplaying as Maria.

I thought it was a cross between the two of them, from what I saw. It looks like Heather with Maria's hair and necklace to me.
The covers are pretty cool, but...I don't know. Just doesn't exactly seem right for Silent Hill to me. (Way beyond my abilities of explanation, so don't ask. I'll just conclude with "sitting on the fence".)

PAL version has it. I have a non-working Xbox version of Silent Hill 2 that rots beside my 360 and is titled "Inner Fears".

EDIT: ...Don't like those product images. James looks like an albino, and what is up with those SH4 images?!

On that note, the twin monsters also now look a lot less frightening in that picture. There, rant is over.

Also, why does Europe get everything released at LEAST 3 months later than the US?
