Finally I have Origins!

Post by monkeyme5 on Thu Oct 06, 2011 1:03 pm

Ok so I completed SHSM on my psp and today finally managed to get the last copy in the local gamestore of SH:Origins! SWEEEEEET! or is it... judging from all the comments ive read on here im guessing its either a, a really good piece of SH in my pocket or b, so full of bugs and uninteresting gameplay it'll make me use the curse word sh!te!!! I hope not for the latter but also to compound my doubts and thoughts of the game ive been around the review sites and checked all the major ones - some say 8.0 some also say 6.5...

If anyone would be so kind as to leave good honest feedback about there time in SHO and its finer points it'd be appreciated also im gonna play the game tonight and go at it with an unbiased opinion...

I leave this post only for the reason that I didn't really gather that much about the game from here other than that people dont really seem to take to Travis that well and think him a pointless cameo!!!

go on - say it how it is eheh
someday you will find me - caught beneath the landslide...

SH1's my next purchase (basically ALL my money went on bills this month, disposable income can suck it), Origins will follow after.

PS2 version, worth it?

apparently not so ive heard... they ported it to the ps2 and people said that the in-game lighting was so dark it was unbearable! even after turning up brightness to maximum level people say that you can still hardly see in front of you specially in darkened areas! get a psp they can be as cheap as 50 english pounds eheh

I have Origins on my ps2 and I love it personally. I love the different areas you travel through such as the Sanitarium and the Theatre (especially the theatre!). I'm such a theatre person  But anyways, I thought it was definitely worth my money and dont regret it at all! I never had a problem with my lighting in game and my tv is pretty old, maybe they have a bad tv? It really depends with each tv. With my my old tv I had a serious problem with the lighting in SH3, I couldnt see a thing and literally had to just watch my map to see where I was until I got the flashlight (hell of an experience I tell ya!), but when I switched to my newer tv I had no problem at all! And granted, yes, the graphics could be better I'll admit, but to me it's easy to get passed that. Either way, everyone has their own opinion, but I liked it!

When I played Origins I was using the First PSP I know BEAST MODE right lol. That means I was able to enjoy the game and it's music while I was carrying that 4 pound Piece of Beastlynis while I layed flat on my back on a chair XD. That dang theatre lvl I swear so many of those evil dolls lol. I remember switching through ALL my ITEMS when I was running and looking for the T.V. to crush there skulls with that was a fun tactical retreat.

:D Thanks! And I agree, it was one of the quotes in the whole series that has stuck with me since the first time I heard it! It just messed with your head when Vincent said that, especially before he says, "It was just a joke!" I still to this day am not very sure if it was a joke or not. The funny thing is, if it is true that they arent really monsters, I probably would do my very best in my next playthroughs to not kill any of the monsters. Despite the fact they're trying to kill you...
