What would be the significance of "6" PHeads? They shouldn't have six without a reason I don't think. But more is good though, so...at least two would have done it for me I think. There's two in the game so that wouldn't be a bigger stretch of plotting than the film already had.

Well it was said the six pyramid heads would have something to do with dantes inferno. So that is a good reason since the games have alot of significant ties to similar stories and aspects.

I think it's hilarious. that and those animes with the bizarre monsters with multiple penises. i don't quite get how people could sexually enjoy these things, but it's entertaining as comedy if you have a properly bad sense of humour. but that's neither here nor there... but back to the original topic, yeah i would've liked that ending. ^_^   |

I always use Wikipedia for information. In fact, I know several people/relatives in college who use Wikipedia as a Bible and do just fine. In fact, in two cases, they are at the top of their game.
Anyway... That ending would have been just so much better then the actual ending. Six fucking Pyramid Heads! The ending to the movie with the barbed wire and stuff was kind of, cheesy. Everyone who I was watching the movie with first laughed like hell at it. |

Buuut... I think I'm more for the 'Alessa's super revenge' ending. It reminds me of Carrie. There is a better world. Well, there must be.  |

If they kept PH more accurate I would have loved to see "more" of him.PH really had no real reason to be in this movie in the first place other than just to make people want to go see it more. Im planning a reveiw in the future. Thats not really the point but what saying is that I didnt like the ending they used.Im sure I wouldnt like this alternate ending as well.

Indeed. The current ending makes Alessa look more like a powerful being, while the alternate ending shows PH of being more of a savior/protector. |

I agree that it would show PH being more of a protector or whatever. Thats not really how hes evern been portrayed though. I guess it would have made him seem like a punisher/savior that likes to rape and kill people......sounds like my kinda guy......but not in that way. lol I dont think the movie was fine the way it was. I said it couldent have been worse, but obviously I was wrong. lol |

Well, I'm just bummed that a cheesy 50's-style UFO ending never made it to the DVD extras.

I'm with you there; really disappointed that for a movie based on Silent Hill, they didn't have at least one alternate ending on the DVD. A UFO ending would've been awesome. The Pyramid Head ending sounds like it would've been better than what they went with, especially if the other PHs were as creative as the one that tore Anna's skin off. That part was so unexpected it left me with my jaw on the floor. The barbed wire ending seemed kind of rushed and too quick to be very satisfying for Alyssa's ultimate vengeance. It was almost like watching a couple dozen people being chewed up in a blender; sure it's violent, gory, and kills off the cult members, but it's just not very entertaining or satisfying. |

Totally agree. If I'd spent 30 years hating and seeking revenge on someone then I'd make damn sure I stretched out their torture and pain for as long as they managed to stay alive, don't you think? I think that it was pretty rushed due to my above reason, but I guess maybe you have technical restraints, such as film running time or budget and stuff like that, that affected their decision on the ending? I for one, certainly wouldn't want to show any prolonged pain or suffering as I mentioned above, I even made a point not to watch the Hostel films y'know? I hate that kinda thing, but I hope you see my point  |
