http://www.silenthillmedia.net/sh2/movi ... VD.torrent

All you need is a P2P program and you can download it. It may take some time but it'll be worth it!
Post here to let us know what your percentage is and your max kbp/s is.
If you downloaded it, let us know what you think using the poll!

Enjoy

Even though my upload speed is just 30kbp/s, I'll help with the seeding. Better than nothing I guess.

Will download and start seeding the first 3 parts tonight.

My campus net doesn't allow to use P2P networks. But if anything is needed, I'd be happy to help.

Total torrent progress is at 24% (meaning out of the 150 peers, most of them have 24% complete)
I'm uploading all night, so hopefully I can raise that number a little more.

I'm at 58%. Not bad for just one day. Most of the peers are at 62%, so tomorrow we'll surely have lots of seeds. :D

Can't wait to burn and watch this. :)

Most peers are at 62%, you are correct. I hope you find it enjoyable :D I just have 1 menu and the movie. I cut out the special features section to maintain the highest quality in the video itself. MainConcept, the codec I used to render the 480i version of the movie really darkens the image, so don't be surprised if it's a little darker than you remember.

Don't know about the darkened image until I see it. But I'm fine with a simple DVD and no extras. The movie itself is more than enough since it was so well edited. Now I feel I did the right thing by complaining about the last boss battle, it became much better after you re-recorded it. ;)

Of course having the alternative endings as a bonus would be cool, but I can live with that.

I'm sorry Emma :C Maybe next time? I may offer to burn copies to people with slow connections and mail out the DVDs just for a shipping fee. I don't mind that :)

So far all the peers are at 75%, just another 25% to go and almost everyone on the torrent should have it.

The torrent doesn't seem to be working for me. The only tracker in the torent (thepiratebay.org) is not responding. I don't know why I am experiencing this and others don't have problems.

Actually, you and probably everyone else that started torrenting this recently must be facing the same problem. I just looked at the tracker status on my torrent file and indeed it says the piratebay tracker wasn't found.

Image

I've no idea when it stopped responding, but I think only the people who got the torrent file the day Fungo released it were able to torrent normally until now because of the DHT and local peer initial spreading.

I don't know much about the technical stuff, but try to see if you can enable DHT and local peer discovery/exchange in the Properties of your torrent file. If it's already checked or it doesn't work, then I guess Fungo will need to create a new torrent file with a working tracker.

Anyway, reached 100% some minutes ago. Will burn and watch the movie in a couple of hours. :D

@knwlss Re-download the torrent file - with the same name - HERE.

I updated and added some trackers to it. I'm sort of a noob when it comes to torrents.
Hopefully this works for you. :D I'll continue to seed this torrent every night even though it looks like over a hundred people got the file 100% and seventy-something are seeding right now.

So after you get the torrent and watch the DVD, mind going through a quick poll at the top of this page?
Thanks! The help is much appreciated!

The movie did run OK from start to finish. But unfortunately there were some issues.

I watched this on a standard TV since I don't have a modern one. And instead of the correct, constant black borders up and down, I got white, gray, dark grey ones... The color seems to alternate at every screen transition, sometimes it even returns to black, but not for long. I don't know how to explain this better so I took some photos just in case:

And yes, these inconstant borders ruin some scenes for me.

Also, about the image, itself it doesn't look dark for me. The real problem is the contrast level, that does look dark. I can't say if there's very little or too much, but the level must be inaccurate or even abnormal. Sometimes I can barely tell the difference between the bottom of James' jacket and the top of his pants.

So because of those issues, I can't say it looks great on a standard TV. Not on mine. I even tried changing between the auto picture options of the TV and that didn't help at all.

On my widescreen LCD monitor, however, the contrast level is more accurate, but the colors are just too strong, specially for James' jacket. Too saturated I would say.

I can't blame you Fungo since it was your first time doing a DVD, but it really is unfortunate that all happened because of a codec. Guess I'll have to download the MKV file again and be satisfied with only being able to watch it on my PC. :|

That really stinks! I haven't had any problems of that sort. I only experienced white borders during the menu, but it looked kinda neat. As for the rest of the movie, when I played it on an SD TV is all looked fine to me (black borders throughout). It wasn't even that dark. On an HD TV it is more apparent and the colors do stand out a bit too much. It's all because of this MainConcept codec. Piece of crap...

I'll see what I can do to fix this.
