Maybe she was curious and wanted to see what was down there and then got stuck in the basement. I guess.

Maybe a doctor sent her to the basement to get some supplies.

Or maybe Alessa wasn't moved to the basement until after the red nurse was "afflicted."

I think Gans intended the audience and us the fans to feel sorry for the lisa in the movie as we did in the games....lisa to me is the most tragic character.

Like I said in the other thread, I didn't played the SH1 before watching the movie. But I already knew the story and the characters a bit. So when Lisa showed up I noticed her. I think they could mentioned her a bit more... she was Alessa's nurse so they could said her name and let her talk a bit... it would be cool... but I also enjoyed what they did to the character with the hiding the face and then when you can see :O (this was my face).

But it would be very cool watching her talking with Rose, like she does with Harry. ;)

It seems like that whole thing was just set up for shock value, much like most of that god-awful insult to Silent Hill fans everywhere.

I didn't like Lisa in the movie. She has an under dye, but it's supposed to be the 70's. The outfit is dead on, but the hair is far from what it should be. They could have done a better job recreating her, IMHO.

I did not even expect her to be in the movie. So her being included (assuming Red Nurse = Lisa Garland) was a neat surprise.. But on reflection, they could have at least called her by-name. Even if just in credits.

I love Lisa, she is one of the best silent hill characters ever! ♥ She is very pretty and just . .gosh! ; n ; Poor Lisa. .
Lisa in the movie was terrible. I loved her outfit, but her hair was just wrong <_< I would love to see her with her original hair. It would have been perfect. ♥ Oh and a longer story for her ffs! XD and more footage of her plz? * 3 *

It must have taken more than a day, I surely hope she is okay."

The whole plot was twisted and changed around. Although this was to be expected, many fans were unhappy with this.

Lisa played a much more important role in the game. But since they left out Kaufmann in the movie, Lisa's story was cut majorly. Maybe if they did put him in there, she would have been mentioned more in the movie.

No she didn't deserve to be blinded, just like she didn't deserve to be hurt in the game either.

I think she should have been acknowledged more in the movie because she had a pretty big role in the game (Alessa believed Lisa cared about her, which would be important for anybody in that situation, even if the affection wasn't really there). Maybe she could have been one of the few people spared or left in limbo rather than having her eyes burned out and then never being mentioned again.

Lisa is one of my favorite Silent Hill characters, and I wish that she'd been more important in the movie. I like the little bleeding eyes/face thing they did as a reference to her, but it just wasn't enough. She was a much more important character than that in the games, and I feel slitghtly insulted.
