I have 1 copy of Silent Hill 2 for PS2, 2 copies of Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams for my Xbox, and I am able to re-live the spirit of my lost copy of SH2 for the PC.
Excessive? Yes. But I didn't plan it that way.
My first copy of SH2 (technically not my first copy of SH2, but the oldest copy that I still have in my possession) was Restless Dreams for the Xbox, which I had when I lived in Oregon. My dad died though, and I moved to live with my mom in Texas. My copy of SH2 somehow got left in Oregon with my aunt and uncle. So when I saw SH2 for PC for $10 new, I knew I had to buy it. Even though my computer was shitty, it was still fairly playable. But after I beat it once on the PC, I stopped playing it because the terrible lip syncing greatly hurt the experience for me. A friend of mine asked if he could borrow it, and as I didn't play it much, I gladly let him. But a year went by, and another, and another... and not only has he not returned it, but he's entirely disappeared. So needing a copy of SH2, I bought a used copy of Restless Dreams for the Xbox. Then later, while visiting my aunt and uncle in Oregon, I stumble upon my old copy of SH2 for the Xbox. The console versions are much superior than the PC version IMO, but I missed being able to take screenshots with my PC copy, so I downloaded the SH2 PC disc images. I don't feel bad for doing it; I did buy the game after all, right? Anyway, today, I convinced my friend to give me his PS2 copy of SH2 which he never played.
So yes. I have enough SH2 to go around.
