Is Walter the best SH bad guy?

I think he is for a number of reasons, one is that he is human, unlike other(real) main antagonists. [Such as the Ph, incubus, "God" etc] And unlike alot of the other anatgonists, including all of them, such as Dahlia, and Claudia, he was more tradional . Something not seen in SH. Something that was missing. Not only that but almost everything about this guy is down right cool and forboding to wildly intresting. He didn't have the same cultist attitude either, it's a nice shift, to see a bad guy that is more realistic in the sense that ppl like Dahlia and Claudia etc do exsist in the world, but is usally not the type most of us encounter, where as Walter is. For all you know he could be your niebhor, a classmate, a aquitence. Even his murders are unique but not far from being something that could happen, i am suprised that no one thought up such a good murder story like the SH creators did. {Or that nobodies copied Walter in rl. }


Note: I am counting in this poll has Walter being the best HUMAN antagonist, so don't vote 'no' because you think the Ph is the best. Let's keep it at a pace that Walter is equal too.

Actually...Walter could defeat two Pyramid Heads. Think about it. If James could, not only could Walter, but he's also pretty damn hard to beat in Silent Hill 4.

depending on the ending yes.

if you get the leave ending he hated mary secretly.
however in the in water ending he killed her to end her suffering.

but evin then depends on how you look at it.
but almost everything he suffrd (exept PH and soem parts from the town itself and minds of others (I.E.Eddie) came form his own mind

I wish I could recall this nightmare I had last night.

It had to do with Walter... it was a real life scenario. Something about him having a meeting with a cult of some sort, and me having a puny gun with infinite ammo and a big shotgun with only a few shots.

He starts saying something like- hey guys! this is the guy who tries to kill me! HE SHOOTS ME AND KNOCKS ME DOWN! But I get RIGHT back up don't I?

and I start shooting wildly.

I don't think he's the worst. I think Claudia was pretty scary, only because her personality seemed so realistic.

Walter's a great villain because you can sympathize with him. I just couldn't sympathize with any of the other villains, like Dahlia or Claudia. I can actually understand what drove him to madness and made him the man he is in SH4. You just pity the poor guy as much as you hate him. It's a vicious cycle, I know.

I see where you is goin wit dat brotha. (punk outburst) I havent played SH$ yet, cuz im too scared, but he seems pretty deluded, and just got raised the REALLY wrong way. I feel so sorry for him now that he has gone insane, but I hate him for haunting my room and killing me MORE than 30 times! GRR! ARGH! MOO! pie?

well, he could defintely the extreme bad buy since most of the antagonist in the series are bad girls!
