According to Deadline.com, Jeremy Irvine (War Horse) and Hannah Emily Anderson (Jigsaw) will star as the main characters in the SH2 adaptation, which will be directed by Christophe Gans, and will begin filming in Germany and Eastern Europe in April 2023.

Gans co-wrote the film with Sandra Vo-Anh and William Josef Schneider, and Victor Hadida will produce.

“Return to Silent Hill is a mythological love story about someone so deeply in love, they’re willing to go to hell to save someone,” said director Gans. “I’m delighted to have the wonderful talents of both Jeremy Irvine and Hannah Emily Anderson take us on this journey into a psychological horror world that I hope will both satisfy and surprise fans of Silent Hill.”

Rely on Horror's William Lockwood asked Jodelle Ferland if she had any interest, but no definitive word on whether any former actors will be included in the upcoming film yet

Wouldn't necessarily think of Silent Hill 2 as a "love story". Mythological or not. But it's finally happening.

Filming apparently finished. I thought they finished ages ago. Probably retakes. But it's done. Very surprised we don't get a trailer by the start of the summer.
