Once you hear the first laugh walk ten steps and then stop. You should hear the second one right away.

I haven't tried it without. =\ I've heard of people doing it,but yeah, it does seem that's the easiest way.

I've been searching and there's no consistent way to trigger the second laugh without the mic. It just seems to happen at random. It might have something to do with the timing of the bell ringing and the haunting that starts right after. I tried taking the ten steps right when the bell starts and after it stops, still nothing. Also, from where do you take the ten steps? I start at the clock, when the numbers turn to 0:00 I take the ten steps, after that I have no clue of what to do.

I don't know if anyone has seen this before but leaving PT paused for a while gives you some pretty surprising "hidden gems".

Voices speak out, sometimes in reverse. This happens for no particular rhyme or reason.

An example of this is in the 1st video.

But the really cool thing is, Lisa can still scare the shit out of you while you are in the pause menu .....

Watch the 2nd video for the Lisa scare starting at 1:40.

In the 1st video it sounds like it's saying we share an instance of private darkness. On the comments section of youtube someone suggested that perhaps this could refer to when 2 people blink simultaneously. Maybe this symbolises the supernatural at work in the darkness, i don't know lol.

That's creepy.

 maybe.

All I know is that the random "freakyness" of PT IMO is quite an accomplishment.

As we are still finding things out today.

I still wonder what the different colour flashlights are for ........

Perhaps it's colour coding for something?...

or maybe Lisa just wants to go to a rave.

I was thinking "UV" in the beginning but there is nothing to suggest it.

Maybe it goes with the whole notion of different realities?

A different colour each time you go through the "gap in the door" to indicate a different reality?

Has he written a book about his creative process?

He really should one day write a book explaining why he did what he did in the gaming world and revealing all the secrets to his works, including PT.

I'd hope for just a hint really .....

Sometimes things are better left as a mystery.

And in Silent Hill's case .... that just how I like it.

It would be cool if he wrote a book after his retirement, detailing his thought process, planning, etc behind these games. It would be very inspirational for aspiring game developers. Plus it would add credit to his legacy and he deserves it.

Have you seen his Twitter? It seems his inspiration is derived entirely from taking snapshots of the food he is eating at the time and sunrises.

Food and Sunrises. That is the essence of Hideo Kojima.

I'm not lying. The guy's twitter is made up mostly of food and sunrises.

When whispering "Jareth" wasn't working for me and nothing else could make that baby laugh, I said "Laura" and it worked! SH2 reference!!! I wanted to put that out there since I hadn't seen that suggested anywhere.

Cool. I have seen a couple of different things work. But I like the reference too.
