The only time I'd ever give Konami a like is if they end up selling their ips.

But I think his recent tweets are the first instances where he's called Konami out by name and been very aggressive about the criticism. Maybe since Kojima and everyone he needs is free, there's no reason to be walking on eggshells .

In fact Konami seems to be fucking done, reputation wise. Keighley straight up called them out at the show and the audience booed them.

I don't see a path Konami could take to get back on the good side of gaming. And they probably don't even want to.

Sorry. Correction:

And they don't want to.

They don't want to? You speak as if you knew exactly what they (Konami) wants and what not. And I don't think they are "fucking done", personally I hate sports games in gral but PES has received very good reviews this year.

Well, the situation at that time was still very hot, the moods were warm, so it was obvious the audience reaction even more when the person with the microphone brings the issue in front of a crowd. He knew that in doing so, he would generate the reaction of the public he was hoping for .He was... how to say it? .... hmmm making firewood from a fallen tree. It was an easy move.

Why would they do that?

If they ever do that then I would agree that they are not interested in Silent Hill anymore. For now I can't say that.

I absolutely do know they don't want to. I called Hayakawa himself, me posing as a games journalist, seeking an interview.

From what he told me, Konami is all about casinos and health clubs now. "NO GAMES. LEAVE ME ALONE" he ended the convo with in an admittedly angry tone.

I did have some trouble hearing most of it since his voice was drowned out by the sound of thousands and thousands of pachislot machines running all at once.

Right before I hung up I swear I heard "HIT THE LEVER!"

Other than the generic PES soccer and Metal Gear games that are created by using existing models what other ip's are in development right now for game consoles?

When you have the reaction and hype PT created and decide to scrap it completely that pretty much says everything that needs to be said about Konami's interest or lack thereof in Silent Hill making another appearance as a console game.

But it made it to pachinko really quick that's for sure....

Yeah, that was a bad business move all around. Cooler heads should have prevailed and even if you are beefin' with the staff, you get the game done for the betterment of the company and the fans that was excited to see the project come to fruition.

That demo alone garnished over 1 million downloads..it's been said 1000 times already,..yes...P.T. probably was not going to be what SH's was going to become,...but it set the foundation for what we could possibly expect.

Instead of bringing the series back into the spotlight and to seriously take a foothold in the horror genre again, Konami simply let their personal differences with Kojima take over and ended the project.

If Konami cared about the IP so much they would have suprised us with something at E3.....nope instead, they felt we would get excited over some time displaced soldiers fighting zombies in another dimension..... :skeptical: ...Konami sucks a$$....-_-....
Knowledge, Wisdom and Understanding....these are the basic fundamentals of life....

If you can't amaze them with brilliance, baffle them with bulls**t...

P.T. laid the groundwork for what was to be Silent Hills...

And now it's easy to say P.T. laid the groundwork for Death Stranding. Even though it looks to be some sort of sci-fi adventure...we don't really know that for sure. Since Kojima really loves screwing with people, we can't even be sure we know the tone Death Stranding will take. It could very well be a dark horror game.

I mean ya'll saw the new trailer? What the fuck it even is telling us, no one can say.

And since he's not under the shackles of Konami anymore, he has the freedom to screw with us like never before.

I'm still hoping DS is a spiritual SH.

In this industry, when you have the hype PT created you jump on it and ride it into the sunset.....

Unless your vindictive, and childish.

That makes things like pulling the demo from the PS store, and cancelling the project, and putting a gag order on your employees, in essence black mailing them into finishing the current project they spent the entire career creating entirely possible and plausible.

Ya, that is the MO of the company below ...

^Whoa. This has somehow gone under the radar. Folks are breaking into P.T.'s files.

Actually some new and interesting stuff here. May be worth a new thread. It's still ongoing as of now.If you wanna take this and make a new thread I guess go ahead?

Here's some shots I grabbed:

It's not just finding things, though. It seems they are working to recreate P.T. by reassembling it using its own broken up assets. Textures, objects, models etc.

Whether Konami fights it should they actually recreate it, that's a bridge well cross when we get there.

Here's all the in game voice files pulled as a result of this crack.
