$800, maybe more, for the Official James Sunderland Jacket.

Post by TopCow on Sat Mar 03, 2012 11:44 pm

Offer is closed, as I got one! Thanks for all the support and comments and suggestions. I may post pics when it comes in.

However, I am still on the hunt for these SH items:

Silent Hill 2 metal pin
SH3 Mini Soundtrack (Bundled with first pressing of Japanese release)
SH2 James/Nurse Statue (I have one, but the nurse is missing)
SH2 Color change coffee cup (I have this too, but it would be nice to have a set)
SH2 Promo Ink pen
SH1-SH3 LARGE posters/displays. No magazine ads posing as posters, lol

I'm not interested in any of the other games, as they were, imho, awful.

Thanks again, guys!

That's a pretty cool jacket, wouldn't mind having one myself.

I would get it if I had the dough so I could cosplay as James. I'm serious btw. I'm not even joking.

Your brave. I'm not even sure I would put it on, haha

As for the amount I'm offering, the last one I saw sold at a little over $500. So I thought I would try to make it enticing enough for someone to sell me theirs.

I doubt anyone on these forums has one they're willing to sell, but it can't hurt to try.

Do you have Facebook Topcow? There's a Silent Hill Collector group and I'm sure someone is bound to either sell or know where to sell.

I had four of those at one time but sold them off. :? Be sure to check eBay Germany... that's where I found all of them back in the day. And yeah, this post is fine.

TopCow, make sure the jacket includes the removable liner, also. It also came with one tag; a thick piece of cardboard that has a James CG render on it. This picture, to be exact:

Only 250 were made in the entire world, though. It's one of the holy grails in SH collecting.

No thanks. Also, why is it missing the right pocket patches?

!! Oh shit, you're right! That jacket in the pic is #002/250. Maybe being one of the first ones they didn't add those patches yet or something? That's really strange...

lol, he probably wouldn't want to know how much I sold my last one for, then. It was pants-shitting worthy of a price.

Also try VideoGameMM. It's a place for video game collectors to share/buy/trade/sell their rare swag. They have a forum you can register for and ask there, also.

Lastly, you can try asking people at AtariAge. While I doubt any of them would have it themselves, they are good at finding/suggesting other people who have rare things or could possibly get you the right contacts to find what you're looking for.

Not a problem. Glad to help a fellow SH brother in some way. I'll tell you I have had success finding things I probably wouldn't have found otherwise using those sites, but it took 6+ months of persistence until I got any proper leads. But I'm sure you know how it goes, being a SH collector and all: Patience is key.

Good luck!

Dammit, now I want one too. Not enough to pay $800 for it, but no doubt that jacket is cool as shit. I wouldn't think twice about wearing it. Although no one in my little town would get the reference (other than my friends). Good luck with the search!
In Heaven's Night having a few...

Just when exactly was the jacket distributed, because my copy of SH3 has a booklet with an 'ad' for it - so...was it done after 2 to please fans or was it already around when 2 came out + how much did it cost originally, does anyone know the specifics?

Also wondering about the Laura t-shirt and SH4 James one, are they this scarce as well? I think it's sad that they only made so few, while chances are most of them are being 'taken care of' by 'true fans', as a company you should know that there will be people that are gonna buy 5 or 10 immediately just to resell them on eBay with such a low number...even if they have a 1 per customer limit you can just ask friends etc...

@TopCow, what's your most prized SH posession so far?

Uh...I dunno, lol. Probably the James and Nurse statue. I also have an original Silent Hill poster from the first game that I treasure. Plus Akira Yamaoka's business card from when he was with Konami.

I want to say $200. Or maybe 200 Euro (as it was sold through KonamiStyle Europe only). Either way, I think I remember a 200 somewhere.

But yes, it was on sale at KonamiStyle Europe, released right beside the SH2 statue TopCow speaks of. The statue was limited to 1,000 pieces. Made by Studio Oxmox.

Devoured wrote:Also wondering about the Laura t-shirt and SH4 James one, are they this scarce as well?

I had the SH4 one and traded it with member Silent Evil for one of his Robbie statues. It was a promotional shirt giving to the press for the launch of SH4 at one of the E3 events.

Can you tell me more about this Laura shirt you speak of?

TopCow wrote:I also have an original Silent Hill poster from the first game that I treasure.

Is it the NTSC one (green collage)? Or one of the Japanese ones?

TopCow wrote:Plus Akira Yamaoka's business card from when he was with Konami.

Was it his clear/see-through business card, the one that looks like a razor blade, or something different?
