He doesnt have to have anything to do with it. He was working woth the team and they probably decided to make a shoutout to his show, a very famous show in fact. It'snot the first time they'vedone that actually. Theyve done that before with others who were not on the designing team. You dont need to be for them to want to shoutout to you.

I think Anne wasn't a co lead cause it was pretty obvious that like Murphy she was going through stuff with the town related to her past and not Murphy's, being that the reason we often see glimpses of it and is clear in the end of the game.

I think Anne's journey through Silent Hill should've been an unlockable after finishing the game with Murphy since the mystery around the whole thing was pretty important. I just finished the game with the forgiveness ending and thought "Wow, so she was the reason Murphy was there and he just happened to sort out his own problems in the process? It would've been awesome to go through the game with her after finding all that out."
