Japanese Cover and Release Date

So the Japanese version of the game has been announced to February 14, 2013.

Here's the cover:

As per usual, the Japanese Versions always get the best cover :( Not sure if Ito drew it like he did with Silent Hill Homecoming.
There was a hole here.

I could be wrong, but that's not Ito's style when it comes to Silent Hill stuff.

That looks too comical.

He did the Downpour cover tho, which was incredibly awesome!

Eeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhh that cover looks kind of dumb if you ask me. And here's why.

-It looks like a fanservice cover, not just with the presence of Mr. Head, but also the pose the nurse is in. She doesn't look dead or injured, she just looks like she's lounging at the beach.
-It's too bright. Too many details are available. And even with all the detail, there isn't that much of interest in the environment, which to me should be given a bit more attention seeing as the environments are a big part of the series experience.
-The color casting is too prominent. As Roller said, it looks too much like a comic panel. Not a very scary tone, there.
-Okay, I hate to go back to the fanservice, but FANSERVICE! Think of how hard it is to wield the great knife, even for Mr. Head himself. It's dragged around, it screeches horribly, and it's a big piece of rough metal. Now look at how he's just lifting it as though it were weightless, at an awkward angle no less.

In its favor, the line the eye follows is clearly defined and well implemented. From the flashlight and doorway to the gleam on the helmet it goes down the helmet, through the title, down the knife, up the arm, back to the helmet, then back to the door. A nice, complete loop. So that's very good.

Yeah, gonna have to agree with JaneTheNurse.

Usually non-US covers are better, but in this case I'm gonna have to give the US cover the victory, as it's slightly less shit.

I'm surprised this got released in Japan but Homecoming never did. In fact it seems like Konami likes to pretend HC doesn't even exist.

I like this cover.

But to me it makes the game seem more scary than it is in actuality.
