UK Vita price drop

Hopefully we get a price cut over here in the States soon. I want this game and a Vita, but don't wanna shell out *that* much at the moment. They also need to do some price cuts on those overpriced proprietary memory cards!

Damn right they do!! Why did Sony think those cards were a good idea, what with the global economy in the state that it is

Agreed. Sony is *bound* to drop the price sooner or later. The Vita isn't doing spectacularly well. But I don't think they're going to just announce a price drop. Rather, I think they'll spring it on us at an unsuspecting time because they're banking on more gamers purchasing the handheld in the US on their own -- not because of a price incentive.

But with how the 3DS fared at start, a price cut could help save the Vita. The more expensive and advanced a piece of hardware is, the more difficult it can be to program for ... and I don't know that developers are really lining up around the block to develop for the Vita.

There's tons of devs working on Vita stuff at the moment, it's just that there's not many games out right now. What the Vita *really* needs to save it is a lot more software to make purchasing a system actually justified. A price drop would help, but even with that, I wouldn't go out and buy one at the moment since the software selection is mediocre. This will be rectified in time, but currently, it's just the typical slow launch syndrome that most systems go through.

Yeah, the Sony guy was pretty much spot-on. People were saying the same ridiculous doomsday mumbo jumbo way back in the PSP days. Then, it's just some random Japanese guy(s) saying it too. Their market is a lot different than the rest of the world's when it comes to this stuff. All they need to do is make a Monster Hunter game for the Vita, and watch the sales skyrocket, lol.

Yep, this. I was thinking the same - a Vita Monster Hunter would shift a bucket load of units in Japan. And if that exclusive Call of Duty: Black Ops sees the light of day........ze Vita vill dominate ze vorld!!! Mwahaha

Haha true! I hope companies start pumping out more games for the Vita because I'm itching to buy one. :O I like my PSP, but I never got enough use out of it.
