This collection was a mistake from conception. You can't fix something that isn't broken, specially not at the cost of it's reputation.
Silent Hill 2 and 3 were regarded as the epitomes of survival horror, now because of this atrocious and poor collection, gamers coming into the series from this will get slacked off experiences inferior to the creators original vision and quality. A shame really, and anyone defending this deserves all the shitty games coming their way. |

A patch is when the developer releases code that can be downloaded to your console/pc to update/improve their video game. A patch for the PS3 HD Collection is now available and can be downloaded when you're signed into PSN and boot up the game. For details of the patch please see Tomm Hulett's post on the previous page of this thread. As far as I'm aware, a patch for Downpour is not yet available. Does this make sense? um i was talking about the same same "patch" here !?  ...the only thing we all talking about right here!?...o.o i thought i already did told you i call it as a "DLC"!?...XD *see how silly i am*!  Ok emma, just for reference -A patch is the term used for a downloadable piece of code that corrects problems and errors within a game. DLC stands for downloadable content, and adds extra gameplay to a game. For example, extra multi-player maps, or extra single-player missions. They want to release some sort of info about the 360 patch. I can deal with ALL of the problems apart from the 'freezing' problem. This game is currently broken, I have not even tried to play SH3 yet. In the hallway to the apartments of SH2 on the 2nd and 3rd floor (in both Laura and James gameplay) I get a total freeze. NEVER do I freeze if there is an enemy near by, apart from on THAT hallway. I cannot get past it. The game will not let me go further. So yes, a 360 patch would be appreciated right about now.

Konami, you colossal pricks. What gives you people the right to pull crap like this on paying customers? For the first time, I'm glad the Silent Hill series has been going downhill. Now I don't have to wonder about spending money on these boner biters anymore. Out.

Wow, that is extremely disappointing. I just finished SH3 last night (HD/360). I really didn't mind the audio sync problems that much (although, to be honest with you, this is the first time I've ever played SH3, so I can't compare it to the original). I never had a freeze until yesterday though. I started an extra new game, and the game froze while Heather was doing her best Scarface impersonation with my new unlimited submachine gun.
I finished SH2 (HD/360) with no issues (although again, I can't compare it with the original). I picked up copies of all the PS2 originals. Even though I love playing them, however, the thought of a new, first-run-through game kind of sucks after already finishing it once. I was really looking forward to enjoying the unlockables. |

I mainly play PS3, but I feel badly for the XBOX gamers here. It's disappointing that Konami decided to half ass their way out of fixing a half assed product. Seriously, if they couldn't spend the money to make the game proper, why the fuck did they green light the project in the first place?
