It IS a problem if you won't get off his case, though, even though his behavior is also uncalled for, because that is against the forum rules. The block list is there for people who are unable to ignore someone's behavior. No, it's not right to act like that, but we have asked time and time again for people to ignore the behavior to avoid contributing. If there is a problematic post, there is a report function for that.

I don't mind people going off topic, per se, but I do mind when people go off topic to fight with other, so I am locking this. If someone wants to start another thread about patches, go for it.

Meanwhile, if you want to argue, take it PMs or don't clog up the forums with it. Again, anyone unable to just ignore people who annoy them and/or to get over it, please consider using the block list.
