Huh huh! You said "your first time"!

In you end oh!

Anyway, I'm gonna play through with the new voices because at this point I could play through with the sound off and do my own voiceovers. Even the monsters. Plus when I finish I wanna start a big trolling thread about how Silent Hill is die! Team Silent didn't make it, and everyone who buys it hates America(or their specific country of origin). I may even make a documentary

But I devolve, I mean regress, I mean... I undress. Dammit!
I'm gonna play with the new voices because its all gussied up with new HD graphics, so it will kinda make the experience of buying a game I already own 3 copies of a little fresher.

Canon!
No more questions! We have Rosemary!

I'm going to be using the original track. Maybe switch it to the new one to see what it's like, and if I don't like it, I'll keep it the original :P

I'd try the new ones, then get the disc and burn it in my sacrificial pit after stabbing it, pouring acid on it and throwing it in teh toilet. ;)

Seriously now, if I ever get to play it I'd play with the originals the first time and then switch to the new ones for a while. Actually, I haven't quite understood... Will there be an in-game option or you select it at the start screen and off you go?

When I pick this up down the road we'll be playing SH2 with the original track before seeing how the new restrained vocals match up. Needless to say we were unimpressed from the comparison between the two tracks. My girlfriend has yet to try Silent Hill 3 so we'd prefer to play it hearing the original authentic performances. Since the HD Collection does not include them she may hear the new track first if we are unable to find her a PAL copy of 3 beforehand. And because no sample of 3 has been unveiled we're not sure what to make of the new voices for 3 yet.
See you in hell cupcake.

I'm interested in hearing the new voices first. Then I'll consider using the old voices.

I'll put the new voices because I'm curious. But I'd listen to some comparisons and I think they wasn't able to beat the original. If we take the video of Mary, for example, we do not expect such clear and deep sound from an old VCR, and it also break the mod of the old scratched image effect. James is too young to have such "complex" voice. Eddie is ok, just a different style. Maria is better, more sexy and mystic. As James and Mary are the main characters, I'll still keep the original, but I'll have to play to made a final opinion.

Just fyi: The Mary voice clip was from the raw recording, without all the fx and sounds from the game put in.

I'll use the new track first, just to see what it's like, then I'll go back to the original. After that, I'll see which one I like best and use that one in future. If I really like both and can't decide, then I suppose it'll depend what mood I'm in and I'll choose appropriately when I play.
