Brain Monster?

Someone recently posted a clear screencap of the monster that grabs Vincent in the trailer, which raises a few questions. The monster apparently is referenced in an x-ray seen in the nurse clip, and may or may not be missing part of its head. I think that this may be the "brain monster" Bassett talked about. It may also be Leonard, though I think the cloth on its shoulder is much thinner than the type Leonard is seen wearing. If it's not Leonard, I wonder what symbolism it carries in reference to Heather? Perhaps it symbolizes the half-brained and demonic nature of the cultists.

That is actually pretty cool, though the amount of dissecting you all do probably ruins the film a bit doesn't it?

Still, that is quite disturbing. Might give the film a go and see it at the cinemas..hmm..

I apologize, but I can't quite tell what has been circled in the pictures you linked.
You're focusing on the rod-like structures sticking out the skull, right?

Yes, there is a rod or some type thing sticking out of the skull in the same way as in the x-ray.
