Hey,
I'm studying Filmmaking and for Design subject, I'm supposed to create a Graphic Diary with 4 themes based on "Silence". So I've decided to work the silence on cinema, and I picked 4 movies that show that concept.
So far I've selected Mulholland Drive, directed by David Lynch, and Silent Hill of course, I wanted to do something about the games but as I wasn't able to do that, I really had to find a way to include it on this work.
Therefore, I'd be happy to hear your suggestions of which scenes from Silent Hill movie, best describe "Silence".

Silent Hill "Graphic Diary"
Have you decided on the other films? I definitely suggest doing Jacob's Ladder. That way you can cross-reference Silent Hill (and you have a film that basically oozes silence and reaction).

Good suggestions, I'll see Jacob's Ladder again and try to pick some nice scenes that would work well on this work, the first that comes to my mind is the part when he's being chased by a car on a street. About Silent Hill movie I also thought about the shot when Rose gets inside the town (not the one when she stares at "Welcome to Silent Hill" Sign)

Silent Hill "Graphic Diary"
I mentioned Audrey Rose in another thread. It's in the public domain now and is on Youtube.
 I definitely suggest watching it if you have the time. It has a very similar atmosphere and you could get a lot out if it, I think. |
