You want to die alone? Fine. You want to keep coming back and never die? That's fine too. In fact, I hope you do go on living forever as the unhappy person you are in the hell you have created here on earth. I hope you live forever. I really do.
You might be surprised how many textures and models are reused. For instance, James and Henry have the same shoe soles; James and Eileen have the same eyes; Maria and Heather have the same chest, hips, and legs; Claudia and Walter have the same feet if I'm not mistaken; and probably many other things I'm missing out on. : P
And yes, SD, there are so damn many. Like the chair James sits in in the hotel room, that chair texture is somewhere in sh4 in an apartment, on another chair. all the bottles in the hotel are the same as the ones in heaven's night, and also reused in sh4. there's a lot of them. lol about claudia's feet, though!
Really? One thing that always seemed out of place were the Closers. They seem way more appealing to James's psyche rather than Alessa's, but that's more up to a theory thing I guess. Although the stuff SH3 did borrow from SH2 seemed really lazy, i.e. South Vale.
Wow, I only noticed just now that my zombie Heather is in the OP pics. The blood spot seemed peculiar.
That's exactly what I'm thinking. lol I mean, why South Vale? Old Silent Hill holds so much more relevance for her. Besides, by that point in time, Brookhaven wasn't even a medical hospital anymore so it wouldn't be as relevant as visiting Alchemilla. Even though you visit pieces of those places in the SH3 "Nowhere", it's just not as satisfying had it have been if she visited the places that originally held a lot of importance for Alessa.
It would have been amazing. I mean, yeah it would take way too much effort for a part that isn't meant to take forever anyway, but why not let her travel to Alchemilla via scene transition, like she did with Lakeside? It's one of those things where the laziness detracts slightly from the story, and that's really unfortunate. : /
Exactly. It was cool and all, but playing the games in order and having to revisit Brookhaven twice in a row is really a drag. It's cool to see what they did to it, but they didn't really add anything new to the hospital in terms of layout or clarity. : /
At least SH4 lets you roam St. Jerome's and Origins lets you visit Cedar Grove Sanitarium, which is a nice break from the Alchemilla/Brookhaven chain.
