Okay, so I got the game yesterday, and while I was playing it,
REVEAL SPOILER
I entered a room, took money from the cash register, put it in a jukebox in the same room, and it played the original Silent Hill theme!

Could it be an easter egg???

Write down all easter eggs, references to the past Silent Hill titles, etc. you notice during your Silent Hill Downpour playthroughs in this topic. Let's gather them in one place.

Just a couple I saw on YouTube.

One is the Diner. Put some pennies in the Jukebox and BAM! The intro theme from Silent Hill plays.

The next one is in the apartments. One of the rooms is an exact replica of Henry's during SH4. Chained up door and all.

Another one is somewhere I don't know. It's a picture of The Sheperd House from SH:H
I love the Silent Hill Series. The new games did nothing wrong whatsoever, they were developed well, and did things different. I believe that Silent Hill Downpour will make all Silent Hill fans happy. Team Silent doesn't exist, but their series does.

The egg in the diner made me squee like a giddy schoolgirl.

I heard the apartments one is a fake? Oh well... It would be cool to see those two though...

I'm kinda stuck at one part of the game though so I can't go any farther.

Had to scroll quickly through the thread so that there was no spoilers for me. I'm only 25% done, but I had to share this, cause it made me giggle. Sorry if its already been posted.

In The Devil's Pit there is a message on the door about what JP did. I forgot if it was a newspaper clipping or not. Anyway, in the note it mentioned a Tourist's response. The name of the tourist was Phillip Menton and he was from Chicago. Menton3, the artist behind most of Past Life, is from Chicago. <3

I'm a big fan of the comic, so it made me smile pretty big.
Just because I don’t agree with you on something, doesn’t mean I don’t respect your opinion.

Not to mention the name Ryall is taken from Chris Ryall who also worked on Past Life.

Unless this is an elaborate fabrication, it's not a fake:

I am going to be doing all sorts of things in a series, hopefully, and this is episode 1 for those of you who haven't had a chance to play the game yet. It contains no story spoilers, and really only shows things you saw in demo videos and the like (if you don't want to see even that much, stop here.). I also give some halfway decent advice about weapons and tactics.

Anyway, this one is just for fun: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A300aaTW0VE

REVEAL SPOILER
the first radio at the tiny gas station when you leave the bus at the beginning is playing the music from the elevator at the end of the hospital in SH2. The scene right after you run from pyramid head with maria and she gets skewered.

One of my favorites from that game. It fits the mood perfectly.

That one is Magdelene. I remember that, too. There are some radios that play music from 1-3. Probably to keep fans happy. Either way, it was a good idea to do.

REVEAL SPOILER
There's a wheelchair near the beginning, bringing to mind Alessa.

Sewell is pretty much the spitting image of Chris Meloni (Detective Stabler), just like the dark haired Cybil in SHSM looked like Mariska Hargitay (Det. Benson) in Law and Order: SVU.

There is also the treasures side mission.
REVEAL SPOILER
You find the dirt mounds and then go get a shovel to dig them up. There are 7 as is in 7 preceding games I won't spoil it yet but i found one for #1 and one for homecoming.

Wheelchairs are everywhere... so are rocking chairs. I think the wheelchairs represent the Aristocrat character... or something else?

Sewell's voice reminds me of Steve Buscemi.

True, but the one on it's side reminded me of opening part of sh1, or basement area of sh3. i haven't played through much of shd yet though.
