Jack's had nice concepts poorly implemented, Leon's was a pseudo-RE2 that was closest to being fun and Chris' was... urgh- horrible.
Silent Hill abbreviated is SH. Survival Horror abbreivated is SH. If you pronounce 'SH' in a Japanese accent, it it pronounced as 'see'. Do you 'see' Silent Hill is the Survival of Survival Horror- the prophet?

For a small moment in time during my walkthrough with Leon I found myself thinking this is pretty good, and then I played the rest of the entire level

I haven't and never will play RE6. After RE5, I no longer have an interest in buying any new RE games. I'm just as content with the rest of the series.

It's the only game I've ever marathon played just so I could get it over with and return it to the redbox and get it out of my sight. By the end I was actually sorta angry at how truly boring and awful the game was. Like I said, it's mind-boggling how a game that looks and functions so great could be so bad. It left me very confused. After it was over I just didn't think that even RE6 knew what it was trying to be.

The first like 20 minutes of the game is a straight up lie. They give the the player the illusion that maybe, just maybe, the game is based in horror. But after that first section you realize you've been duped, and it's an action game.

I still feel like the only thing worthwhile in RE6 was Mercenaries.

I prefer traditional Resident Evil and despise the direction the series has taken since the fourth game...but I must admit I loved the "stealth" element in Jake's scenario.
RE6 might have been an overall disaster, but there were some genuinely fun moments, mainly in the Jake and Ada scenarios from what I can remember.
I have very low expectations for RE7, and I expect Capcom to be lying yet again about "returning to their roots".
It'll probably be just another terrible action game that I won't buy for quite some time.

If they ever returned to the classic formula, tank controls and everything, I wouldn't have seconds thoughts about buying the game! ;)

There's an RE throwback puzzle in the beginning of Ada's scenario. I forget exactly what it was, but it was about paintings or something. I remember briefly enjoying that puzzle before realizing I just slogged through 3 other terrible campaigns to get to it, and thinking "yea...too late."

Also, that Ada puzzle is immediately followed by a sequence of God of War-esque swimming exercises,so any joy was immediately flatlined.

Ada may like to wear red, but it doesn't make her Kratos.

RE4 had that dog in the beginning tho : (

Re6 may have sold well, but i think it also had a record amount of trade-ins. Unfortunately i didn't trade mine in...for some reason i want to see how this trainwreck is going to end (well that and i rarely trade in games i buy...they have to be games that i really don't care about) and having RE6 as a connection to RE7 will just let me see if things can possibily get worse for this series.

The only saving grace for RE6 was that it had solid visuals. I'm reading waaay too many comments about how this game was a chore to play and i agree. I wasn't enjoying this game at all. I just wanted to finish it so i could bury this thing at the bottom of my gaming pile.

^ I had the same reaction towards finishing RE 6  I looked at it as a spoon full of bad medicine that I had to ingest to teach myself NEVER purchase a game from that franchise again .......

My purchase of RE 6 Anthology was the only saving grace after the purchase of this terrible title. At least I got RE 1 through 5 for an extra $10. I was really taken on how bad this title is.

I gotta give 6 credit, I liked what they did to Chris.

However, I think fanservice reached ridiculous levels as the series progressed. Sure, you can say that the games oversexualized female characters before but this now is ridiculous, I'm surprised they simply didn't make a porn game.

The original managed to avoid that completely.. but oversexualizing ladies is standard fare for Capcom.

Yeah I know, but it reached ridiculous levels starting with RE4.

Some of these can't even be called "characters" they're pretty much caricatures.

Hell, even the monsters are not safe.

She's even touching herself in weird ways during the fight.

I'm not even kidding when I say that it reached ridiculous levels, it puts oversexualization they did before to shame.

RE4 is probably the worst offender.

I mean, LOOK AT THIS SEXUALIZED EXCUSE FOR A CHARACTER

I'd bang Ashley. Purely as a one-and-done, mind you, but I would.

So true!
I really hate what they did to Ada in that game. She hasn't been the same since... :(
