Which segment in which game do you detest the most?

for me it is the SUBWAY segment of SH3. my poor heather gets spun around time n time again. The segment is so diabolical the way it keeps you disoriented with all the stairs and mirrored stages n platforms.

I don't "detest" any per say, i'm not particularly fond with the 2nd half of SH4 gameplay wise however.

The second half of SH4 was the worst experience I've ever had with an SH game. I did like the final boss and the moments leading up to that (in the apartment), however.

Erm, I can't really recall any segment of any game that I hated. Not even one that I dislike enough to call it out.

Then again, I've only done the first half of SH4, not the second half...

Like others, the second half of SH4. I hated doubling back.

I also dislike the hospital level in SH1.

F*CKING SUBWAY IN SILENT HILL 3. is the one i dislike the most.

The whole devil's pit cave area in Downpour, i always can't wait to wrap up that part of the game, its so dull. Not scary and i just don't like it at all, (excepting that sick train ride!)

The sewers in Silent hill 3 were not that likeable either...

Honorable mention: most of downpour's otherworld segments as you can't really explore them.

I don't think there's anything else i dislike, that i can remember right now, but i must say this, apart from the subway and sewers i LOVED all the other locations in silent hill 3, Otherworld brookhaven was one of the most unsettling places in the whole series.

I don't really detest any sections,...but a couple that i'm not particularily fond of are Downpour's Devil's Pit...and both of SM and Downpour's chase sequences...not really sure why Downpour chose to use chase sequences for their otherworld segments when it wasn't generally received well in SM...

I didn't care for the Subway in SH3. Even when I have mah moments when I play thru the game about two or three times before putting it down for a while, I get lost a bit there.

Second half of SH4 is abysmal as I've always said... Going back to places you've already been -- as part of an escort mission no less -- was lame as hell. It's stuff like that which makes me think the game was rushed to meet that late 04 release.

Also, fighting the end boss of SH1 on Hard mode. Thanks to the wonky strafe-run controls, you'd get hit no matter what unless you exploited some certain angle of doom or something... Mainly remember this from an experience around early '10 when I went thru and got my beans roasted by the boss many times in a row since I was low on health items... Got 'em in the end though, felt great.

Yeah, the subway was perhaps poorly thought-out. The atmosphere was there -- complete isolation (besides the monsters towards the end) and hardly any music besides the ambient noise, and a sense of helplessness when you inevitably got lost... Just too bad that they didn't think not everyone would be a clairvoyant who'd instantly know that the next area they had to go to was some gate which looked like all the others, but had a chain on it, and they'd have to backtrack across the other side of the map to get the item to open it.

Either SH3 subway or any SHD otherworld. I always get lost in the stupid subway, or else the dogs keep me from climbing onto the platform at that red door part, and all SHD otherworlds are just a pain in the ass.

I remember sitting through and playing Silent Hill 3 with my older brother. The subway was so annoying.

Subway and the sewers of SH3 and Water Prison in 4. All three are kind of lame locations or just annoying.

Y'know what I really don't like? The theme park in Silent Hill 1. I spent about half an hour running around the edges just trying to find something I can interact with. Wouldn't have been nearly as bad with a map.

Now that you mention it G, the park didn't have a map in 3 either. I never noticed in 1 though.

Not too much on our sistren Subway xD i thought it was a quite nice section that was meant to confuse you and give off that type of "you're on your own now" feeling.
I thought it was quite sinister.

It's been a long time since I played 3 (which wouldn't have been the case if not for the HDC ¬_¬), but I don't remember the red door of doom. What's that about, again?
