What OST do you like the most? UPDATED

Hey there, I'm curious to know which Soundtrack do you like the most, after you vote you can do a list if you want, and explain what you like or dislike about each OST.

Hmm.. I really can't vote, because I only like a couple of songs from each soundtrack, so don't really have a favorite soundtrack.

This. Each soundtrack just has a few tracks I like each. Though a lot of the ambient dark drone tracks produced for SH2 which never made it onto any official release receive frequent play from me.

I'd go with SH2, even though i adore SH3's and SH4's.
Homecoming has a nice OST too.

SH2 is gonna destroy worlds in this poll. I voted for it. I loved all the soundtracks, but 2's atmospheric tracks take the cake. If I had to choose a second it would be SH3, followed closely by Origins. SH4 in a distance fourth and then SH1.

Definitely SH2. Yamaoka said SH2 was the soundtrack he took the most pride in as well.

To be honest I really don't like the SH1 OST at all. The only highlights for me are the SH theme, Not Tomorrow and Tears Of, a lot of the rest just have that cacophony industrial noise thing going on and it doesn't do much for me.

that's my exact opinion on 1's OST , excepting the ones you mentioned and "She", its just noise.

2 is a VERY close second

Then Origins, i think IMO origins has the best vocal track in the series, O.R.T, that song is so hypnotic.

i can't list all the soundtracks since each of them have standout tracks for me and some i don't like, but in general anything from akira is excellent, and yes i think sh2 is the OST he put the most effort in

It does have a tribal-ish feeling to it. I like how each OST varies from the next in that way. They all have a different "feel".

It does have a tribal-ish feeling to it. I like how each OST varies from the next in that way. They all have a different "feel".

OMFG i can't believe you know it too!, i have even slept with that song on repeat, especially that extended track wich i thanked the uploader for! since the original is like 30 secs, i agree its so hypnotic and relaxing and eerie and its my favorite ambient track from silent hill 2, shame it wasn't included in the OST since prisonic fairytale is the same thing and not that great. great to know you love it too! if i had to make a top 5 or 10 of my all time favorite sh tracks this will be one of them, it still remains in the top 5 of my ipod's most listened tracks!

Oh my God, I love this song tooo!! And on the topic of favorite SH OSTs.... no way that I can pick. I would say SH2, but every single soundtrack has so many great songs that it's difficult to pick definitively.

SH1's OST consisted heavily of ambient tracks, and damn good ambient for that matter.

I agree that the SH1 soundtrack is great, it was perfectly crafted for the game. It just seems like the moodiest/most dark of all the OST's and it doesn't appeal to me for regular listening like tracks from SH2 do. I enjoy these tracks most of all:

After entensive listening during a long highway, I have discovered Origins is without a doubt my favorite OST. It's just SO good.

It's weird but still has a melodic feel to it, which i love.

Homecoming and 2 would follow close behind in that order. Total Invasion (HC) still remains one of my favorite ambient tracks in the series.

My vocal songs of choice would have to be O.R.T, "One more Soul to the call", and Alex/Elle themes following close behind.

Homecoming is my second favorite because i love the tribal and dark feel to it. And 2 is just 2.

Silent Hill 2 because it has my favorites, but I also love Silent Hill 3 for all of Mary's songs, along with the others with her in it. I love most of the soundtracks because they each hold songs that I love so much. I'm going to say that either Silent Hill 1 or Downpour is the soundtrack that I listen to the least of them all. :S

My favorite not from Silent Hill 2, and that is NOT on the OST. It was on the exclusive [North American] Limited Edition (unreleased) Soundtrack. So, I'm not sure if very many have heard it.

I voted on Silent Hill 3. I love the soundtrack mostly because of the quotes in some of the songs. If I remember correctly, Lost Carol has some quotes from Claudia and the song is amazing. I also love Sun which tells you the story from the paintings and every other song in the soundtrack.

I also loved Silent Hill 2's soundtrack.

"One more soul to the Call", "Alex's theme", "Elle's theme" and "Cold Blood" make for one awesome sounding OST.

0rigins is only here for "shot down in flames" and O.R.T

And SH 2, "theme of laura" (which is incidentally my most played song on itunes, at 167) and "promise".
