Anything you are curious about or didn't understood completely in the series, any game, movie or comic, maybe fellow members can clear your doubts. :)

Something about Anne from Downpour I've thought about:
REVEAL SPOILER
I know most of this is just speculation, but it struck me as odd that Anne and Frank have two different last names.. :| I don't know if there's been any kind of confirmation as I haven't heard any, but I was thinking there would be the possibility that she was adopted by Frank. However, I thought orphans took the last name of their adoptive family... Though, I guess this doesn't always have to be the case...

If it were true... then I'd say that would be the reason we see "Young Anne" at St. Maria's. St. Maria's could have possibly been the orphanage she was at before Frank adopted her. IF it's even the same Anne. In the game files, it shows the little girl's name as Anne Young.

Like I said, it's really all speculation nonetheless, until Tomm or anyone else confirms any of this. I just wanted to share this with you all and maybe get some thoughts out there.

REVEAL SPOILER
I had assumed that Anne was married, but she doesn't wear a ring, so I dunno.

REVEAL SPOILER
I guess it could be possible that she's not wearing the ring. Bad Anne! Though, I think the adoption factor would explain her being in St. Maria's if that's her.

But yeah, there's no confirmation on that either. So, hmmmmmm...

REVEAL SPOILER
No. No. XD We were saying that could be a reason that they have different last names!

And about the quote from the Nun, I think it might have had something to do with Murphy being an orphan as a child as well. "Welcome Home" as in his original home.

On SH4, I'm just curious. When Walter murdered himself to initiate the Assumption, then Sunderland senior saw him at the apartment, was it his ghost taking his body to stash in room 302? Or resurrected Walter taking his corpse to it's final resting place? Or did a fake Walter die in prison, and the real Walter performed the Assumption once he was boarded up in 302 secret closet?

[SILENT HILL 4 SPOILERS]
I don't believe it has ever been confirmed yet. I believe that it was a resurrection (coming back as a ghost so to speak), as part of the 21 Sacraments; commit suicide to be the 11th sacrifice and then be resurrected to complete the ritualistic sacrifices. It makes sense there, but like I said, I don't think it has been confirmed. As there was still Joseph who believed that it wasn't Walter who committed suicide in the first place.

REVEAL SPOILER
I think the main thing that calls into question whether it was a double who killed himself in prison is the "11/21" in the coffin. Walter dying as the 11th victim was always part of the process, so why indicate that the guy in the coffin was him if it wasn't?

[Silent Hill 4 spoilers of course]
I believe it makes more sense that it was him. It was just a resurrected/ghost self afterwards that performed the rest of the sacrifices. Something tells me, and from the reading the scriptures of the 21 Sacraments, that it has to be the suicide, death, and blood of the one performing the ritual.

To be completely honest with all of you i thought the reason for Anne to have a different last name was a mere distractor to not reveal part of the game's ending/plot twist. i might be wrong tho. But it just seemed that way for me.

REVEAL SPOILER
Exactly. Me too. The fact that her name is labelled as "Anne Young" in the files makes me still speculate as to whether it's really Anne Cunningham or in fact a different Anne. Maybe one he was at the orphanage with as a child?

@Rollerfan222- Nah. I don't they'd make their names different for that reason. I still believe there's a reason. Even if it is that she's just not wearing her wedding ring.

Anneswers:

REVEAL SPOILER
Anne was married.
The little girl is a representation of Anne.

Spoilers that might spoil some speculation, so reveal at your own risk:

REVEAL SPOILER
Howard sends Murphy to the Orphanage because it is a highly symbolic place to him (Murphy). None of the characters in Downpour were ever literally at St. Maria's as children. (I guess we don't know about Sater or Ricks, so speculate away on them :p ) No FFVIII here.

Thanks, it'll give us some fodder to play with.
REVEAL SPOILER
The girl stands out in my mind in the part where you in act the play of Hansel and Gretel and do the puzzle with her picture in there. I'm guessing she's the bad witch?

REVEAL SPOILER
I would say Hansel and Gretel are Charlie and Anne (or even Murphy and Anne) and the bad witch is the Doll that appears upon completion of the puzzle.
