It was a door you had to get to to further progress the area. You had to drop off to the tracks and run up to it, try to open it, and it'd be locked, then some dogs would spawn and if you didn't climb back up to the platform quick enough, you'd get hit by the train.

I remember that, now. Yeah, the subway was an annoying stage.

The first part of 3 until the building site, especially the subway. I just find myself waiting for it to get to the damn point, while I run around all these places. The locations themselves are pretty creepy and well done, but it just takes away the tension when I feel like the story is going nowhere.

I also hate the subway in 4, but mostly because the ghosts always kill me : C

I don't know if anyone said it yet, but another segment which was complete bullshit was the escalator section in SH4 with the damn dirty wall monsters. I need not say more...

Definitely a tie between the subway in SH3 and the second half of SH4.

I don't care for the sewers in SH1. Every time I reach that part I just run the whole time just like "Grabthisgetawayfrommewhereisexiti'mout"

Hmmmm, I always loved the Subway from SH3 for some reason. XD I don't know why.

The ones I disliked though... I'd have to say the Apartment World 1st and 2nd from SH4 as well as the Subway World. I did like the Forest World both times, however, and the Hospital World. I kind of wished they would have expanded on he Hospital World.

Also, the Prison in Downpour for some reason. And... I'd have to say the the sequence in Alex's Otherworldly house. After knowing what to do, it gets kind of tiresome to do in other playthroughs for me.

The main thing I disliked about SH3's subway was that it's so easy to get lost once you get off the train and into that big-ass tunnel network. I couldn't even find the area map without looking for it online (looking at the map to find the map - ironic, huh?).

Also, the beginning of SH2 up until the apartments, and the time spent going from the Otherworld Hospital to the Historical Society. Running long distances is so tedious, especially when it's completely dark and you're pressing the triangle button constantly to look at the map.

I thought I was the only one who had trouble with the train in SH3. I think part of the problem is the controls for running, turning, and climbing in the first three games are plain clunky by design. They just don't seem to be made made for timed sequences like that.

XD Poor me went through nearly half of Downpour without a map. Don't ask. I do not know how I managed to go through the game without, NOT ONLY, finding any of the maps when they are in front of my face, but also without using on period... I honestly surprised myself and should have gotten an achievement for it. :lol:

I really dislike the apartments in SH2. Maybe I've played the game too many times, but every time I get there, I'm like: "Lovely, here we go again. :roll:

" It's just really tedious to me, as is the whole second half of The Room.

Oh, speaking of SH4, and this might not count, but I absolutely loathe the ghosts. :evil:

Well, I've played through the subway stage in 3 again. To be honest, it's nowhere near as tedious as I remember it. It kind of just flew by.

I did not care for the subway in Silent Hill 3 like most people here, and I was also not too fond of the apartments in Silent Hill 2. I really don't know why, I just don't. Second half of Silent Hill 4 as well. Escort mission and backtracking no bueno.

Detest is a little strong but i really disliked the subway section in SH3 (not the only one i see), and the awkward boat sequence in 2 (especially on hard, before you get used to the controls).

I dislike the sewers. Hate going there, especially on Hard mode since those green bastards do ridiculous damage with each hit (two hits from full health puts you in red health) and they're immune to your radio.

I'm right there with you on that one, I can't stand the sewer section in SH1. To me it seems like that part of the game is totally unnecessary and tacked on. I think they could have done without that whole part of the game all together and it would have been just fine with me. It's tedious and an overall pain in my ass.

On the lighter side of things there isn't to many sections of any of the SH games that I really dislike. It just happens that I don't really care for the sewers. Maybe it's because I've played SH1 way to many times so it's more of a repetition hatred I have for them. I'm not sure, just don't like that part I guess.

SH1 sewers. Sewers in general are the most boring places to visit in any kind of videogames.

SH2 otherworld hospital. Green, green everywhere.

SH3's sewers and tunnels

SH4's second part of the game, the forest

Homecoming - The whole game

SH Origins - The theatre otherworld. (It looks great but the riddles are so boring)

SHSM - Walking on the streets with other characters

SH Downpour - the Monastery due to the long cutscenes I can't skip after seeing them like 16 times, walking around the town itself was dull to me due to how boring the city looks.

having to play through SH4's levels twice is lame
and i don't think they're very welldesigned gameplay-wise
plus so many monsters blargh wtf
