The PC port is terrible

But I don't have an Xbox anymore. Think the PC port is worth enduring? I've heard many bad things about it, and I couldn't get past the intro sequence because the sound was only coming from one speaker.

Well, as you stated in your topic title, the PC port is indeed pretty terrible. It never got patched afaik, so you're better off watching it on youtube if you really wanna see the game through, unless you're a masochist and wish to brave through the bugfest anyway.

Well, I have the PC version and never had a problem, and I don't even remember having problems because the sound was coming from just one speaker. That was my personal experience, and I played it with keyboard and mouse, I prefer it that way. It ran quite well, without any bugs.

^I believe so because Origin and BoM certainly don't have ports, same with SHSM and DP. I didn't even remember that HC had one, maybe that's why they stopped doing it.

I'm jealous. I also played the PC version of Homecoming, and it was broken 6 ways from sunday. During my first playthrough I somehow managed to break Alex. He would only move at a snail's pace, even when he was not in combat stance anymore.

Sadly, yes. I really wanted Downpour and the others to come to PC... 60fps + slightly better eye candy .

To be fair, PC ports for SH games were never so good, the one for 3 was probably the best.

Really ? Some of the best screen shots of older games come off of ports don't they ? I guess it's mechanics and such that suffer ...

I mean, sure they look better, that doesn't mean they don't have glitches etc.

^The screenshots do, yeah, but that's because PS2 screencaps look shitty and blurry in comparison (unless played on an emulator). My main problems were things like SH4's PC controls sucking, and SHH lagging and crashing. I have no real complaints about SH2 or SH3 on PC.

SH4's controls on PC are what turned me off it. I would've happily played thru and beat the game had it not been for that. SH2 and 3 never gave me issues across various different rigs. Those are the best when it comes to the port quality.
