SH3 reference.

Post by rollerfan222 on Mon Jul 02, 2012 1:03 am

I noticed i SH3 reference that i forgot to post:

in the sewer level of the game, in the room were you get the Map of the area, theres a hole in the wall.

in this hole, there are parts of legs and arms attached but visible inside the concrete, very similar to the plaster wall in hilltop center.

i believe this is a reference to SH3. i havent found a screenshot yet, but if i do i'll post it!

Ooh, neat! I remember the scene in SH3 but can't recall it in Homecoming.

Wasn't it originally a reference to Metal Gear Solid?

Some people argue it's actually referencing this one film who's name escapes me, but I personally agree that it's an MGS reference.

Hmmm. I wonder what film it was.

And yeah, I've always heard it was a MGS reference, but since I have not actually played that game myself, I wouldn't know. I think it had something to do with the way the legs looked behind the wall? I could be wrong. :?

Something that had a black cat motif, I remember that much.

I've never played any MGS, but my boyfriend has. He told me the silencer has the same description as a silencer in one of the games. It's definately an MGS reference. :P

It's definitely an MGS reference. The fact that there's a suppressor fitted for a handgun is more proof. The way the body is stashed in the wall is a reference to how players could stash bodies in places like lockers in MGS2 & 3. MGS3 itself has a direct reference to Silent Hill in the form of a poster on a wall later on in the game.
