Amazing video! I thought it was the light switch but then I noticed it's new objective spots. Didn't have those in the other ports.
What could have been... although some light to dark are quite jarring.
Thanks for the thread Borman!

It was still before the PSP game was done, so figure in that plus this was quickly done in the first place, and there are bound to be things that look less than great :)

Cool, had absolutely no idea this existed. I really love Origins and I wish the PS2 port wasn't so awful.

Makes me wonder what this really would have been like.

I can't view the video. When I try to watch it, it reads "This video contains content from WMG, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds".

Would someone be so kind as to host this somewhere else so that I may see it? I'm really curious as to what could have been...

It's still glitchy, but not as much as my PS2 port.

They didn't even replace the textures or upgrade them though.

It was more of a technology test to see if Climax could do it, rather than something that they had a contract for. So really, more so Konami not going for it if it even made it that far. Turns out, the PSP version used a lot of unique tricks that gave other platforms some issues, PS2 included, particularly in the shadows/flashlight.

Yeah, I tend to think the PSP version is the best.

Indeed, and so far as I can see this test reveals considerable potential. SImply seeing Travis move around without starch in his clothes lifts it above the only version I've played. It would have required a dedicated rewrite for 360 / PS3 rather than a port, not something I imagine Konami being too fussed about at the time, it was an intended PSP game after all. The mere idea of developing games from such a strong (at that time) franchise specifically for an obscure hand-held machine is madness, but well nuff said I guess. A shame, but not the biggest in the history of the series (says he who still hasn't played PT and has one hell of a chip on his shoulder about it  ).
