Silent Hill Community • View topic - I'd like to make a theory on Robbie

So, after playing through this game and having seen Robbie in Eileen's room and all that.....I've had this theory. So far I only see it in this game mainly, but it seems to me that Robbie might be connected with whoever owns him. Perhaps even be a sort of protector to them. I'm not sure about how he pointed at Henry, but being that he reacted after Eileen was gone, makes me feel as though he was connected to her somehow. What do you guys possibly think?

I think that if he's a protector, he doesn't do a good job of it.

It's kind of a hard thing to explain....protector may not be the best word for it. Maybe more like.....a watcher of some sort.

Don't really know how Robbie became sentient and pointed at Henry like that. It's probably just an isolated case, but I wonder how that doll was special and whatnot. And weren't they technically still in the real world when that happened?

well..Robbie the rabbit actually appears since silent hill 3 with "Heather"!..not only with Eileen..
if you ask me why ..that's something we all don't know about O_O ...
as i think Robbie the rabbit is a silent hill logo or something like that ^^...cus its a famous character that only appears on silent hill

Robbie was also the toy that Alex tries to give to Josh at the beginning of Homecoming.

I think Robbie is the entity who cast his wacko mojo into the world that causes the "town's power." And since he's so happy looking, I'd say that he's just being playful and doesn't mean anyone any harm. You know, like a baby with magic

Yeah I know he also appeared in other games, but it was just the way he was in the room with Eileen and he stays there for the remainder of the game. I do agree that he is just being playful. In the third installment though, it's speculated that he was put into the game to give an unsettling feeling that he is watching you. I just work my theory off of the fact he seems to be with a certain person if they own a doll. Sort of like a guardian. What just struck me about Robbie pointing at Henry, reminds me of how the Twin Victims and the other monster points at him and says Reciever. Perhaps Robbie is also aware that Henry is in fact the Reciever of Wisdom. I think he is a very unique character all in all though. :shock:

I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure he's got to have a bigger significance than just fanservice. The way he appears in different games may indicate he has a different significance for each perhaps? I just feel as well known as he is and even as big a character of the series he is, that he would have more meaning somewhere. :mrgreen:

Basically. Robbie is just Silent Hill's mascot. I doubt he is some spiritual protector, or watcher. But, it is silent hill, so anything could be possible...except ESCAPE 0.0

Well, it was Walter's world...maybe it was his way of taunting? Idk. I would just assume that if that scene-let had any deeper meaning, one of the devs that worked on 4 would've mentioned it by now. If Robbie was watching over Eileen, he did a piss poor job. (Depending on the ending you get, she suffers the same fate as the rest of the sacraments.)

One Thing I know for sure is that when I first noticed Robbie pointing at the peephole, It spooked me out.

Other then that I don't think there is any significance.

Yeah, this is how I feel. He appears often just because he's SH's little mascot, and I guess the devs like the little cameos and stuff.

Well then again, when Robbie does point at you through the peephole, is that before or after you meet the twin victims ?

I think he points at you after Eileen is attacked. Doubt it has any significance except him maybe point at you, like it's saying you're next or something like that.

Or he's just there to be creepy. Doubt everything has to have symbolic meaning.

This is believable. Team Silent likes to put things like that in the games anyways, I wouldnt doubt robbie pointing at you means your the receiver of wisdom. I can't think of any other explanation. He can't just be there pointing to be creepy. BUT! You guys did say he points after she is attacked. He could be pointing at henry, trying to say he is the next sacrament after eileen, which, would still be the whole, receiver of wisdom thing that percussion is talking about.

Also: Robbie would be cool as a doll only if he has blood around his mouth. If not, then it's just another pink rabbit doll.

They did put some stuff that has no other point except being creepy before though, like falling mannequin head for example.
